“Everyone has a life. I always ask myself, what have I done for my family, my business, my society and my country? What have I done for my country that I want my country to do for me?” These are the heartfelt words of Mr. Do Quang Hien, Founder of T&T Group at the 30th Anniversary of the Group’s establishment.

1. In the last quarter of 2023, T&T Group started a series of projects that the Founder and Chairman of the Strategy Committee of T&T Group, Do Quang Hien, has cherished for many years. First of all, we must mention the Quang Tri Airport Project, which was launched on December 15. This project will complete the next piece in the transportation network, contributing to helping Quang Tri unleash its potential, creating a lever to help the local socio-economy "take off". Mr. Hien once shared his passion for the sacred land of Quang Tri, where the blood of heroic martyrs who fell for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland was absorbed. Therefore, T&T Group is determined to stick together and accompany the locality, mobilizing all resources to successfully invest in Quang Tri Airport. He wants to have more bridges connecting people across the country towards the sacred land of Quang Tri. With a scale of over 265 hectares, a total investment of 5,833.9 billion VND in 2 phases, Quang Tri Airport meets the needs of operating up to 5 million passengers/year and 25,500 tons of cargo/year. This is one of 33 airports in the Master Plan for the development of the national airport system for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister in June 2023. Previously, T&T Group started the project to invest in building a new urban area in Ca Mau with a scale of nearly 23 hectares, with a total investment of more than 1,000 billion VND. At the end of November 2023, the People's Committee of Nghe An province and T&T Group also held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Cultural Tourism Area Project and the 9-storey Waterfall Project at the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan in Nam Dan, Nghe An - an important event to implement the Plan to preserve, restore and promote the value of the special national relic site of President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site approved by the Prime Minister. Amidst the difficulties of the international and domestic business environment, 2023 also witnessed the efforts of enterprises in the T&T Group ecosystem in promoting effective cooperation and connection. Accordingly, SHB and Ayudhya Public Bank Limited (Krungsri, Thailand) completed the transfer of 50% of capital at Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank Finance Company Limited (SHBFinance). At the end of December 2023, the Ministry of Finance issued documents approving in principle for Aviation Insurance (VNI) and Saigon - Hanoi Insurance (BSH) to transfer shares at the request of the company to DB Insurance (Korea) and two other companies. T&T Group, SHB and PV Power also signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement to combine strengths to create a high-quality partner ecosystem, bringing the best products and services at the most competitive prices to customers... The projects launched and implemented in 2023 demonstrate the spirit of action and unwavering efforts of Mr. Hien and his team, despite the great challenges and difficulties in the market.
2. 30 years ago, in 1993, T&T was born, one of the first private enterprises in Vietnam to be established at that time. The company operates in the field of importing and distributing electrical products of Matsushita Group, with major brands such as Panasonic, National and Mitsubishi Heavy Industry Group. Building prestige and having the right direction when meeting the huge demand of consumers for Japanese electrical products with advanced technology and reasonable prices, in less than 2 years after its establishment, T&T has established a leading position in the whole North in its business field. In addition to popularizing new technology, T&T also trains a team of engineers to access modern techniques and makes an important contribution to the state budget when paying taxes with a very large value.
In the vision of businessman Do Quang Hien, the next 30 years of T&T Group will continue to "make constant efforts with the spirit of national pride and dedication". 
When the Government encouraged the development of the motorbike industry in the late 90s, T&T quickly seized the opportunity, shifting to investing in building the largest motorbike engine, spare parts and assembly factory in Vietnam in Hung Yen, with a localization rate of up to 80%. During that period, on average, T&T launched about 70,000 motorbikes to the market each year, of which 80% were consumed domestically and 20% were exported to African and South American markets, creating a brand and reputation for Vietnamese motorbikes. In addition to its core role in developing the Vietnamese motorbike industry, the special value that T&T brought at that time was providing quality motorbikes at reasonable prices, much cheaper than the prices of motorbikes supplied by foreign direct investment enterprises to the market. Therefore, T&T motorbikes are chosen by many consumers in both urban and rural areas as a means of transportation, daily life, and livelihood... T&T's scope of operations gradually expanded. In 2004, T&T entered the financial sector, by contributing capital and becoming a major shareholder of SHB Bank (formerly Nhon Ai Rural Bank). At the same time, cooperation plans with large state-owned corporations such as Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group and Vietnam Rubber Industry Group also began. T&T invested in founding and became a major shareholder of a number of other financial institutions such as Saigon - Hanoi Insurance Corporation (BSH), Saigon - Hanoi Securities Corporation (SHS)... T&T officially converted its operations to a group model and gradually expanded its investment and business fields to many new fields, such as real estate; agriculture, forestry and fisheries; consumer trade; energy, environment; development of transport infrastructure and logistics; healthcare and sports... T&T Group also expanded its investment abroad by establishing member units in the US, Germany, Russia and Australia markets. In particular, implementing the Government's policy, T&T Group participated in the equitization and restructuring of inefficient state-owned corporations and companies, which were once the pride of the nation, with the goal of restoring the brand and enhancing the value of these enterprises. Not only that, the strategy of enhancing international cooperation, aiming to take advantage of financial resources, management capacity, human resources and technology transfer from leading corporations in the world of T&T Group has had remarkable achievements. Recently, T&T Group has received a commitment from Standard Chartered - the world's leading international financial institution - to arrange a financial amount of up to 6 billion USD to finance the Group's green projects implemented in Vietnam... To date, T&T Group has become a leading multi-industry private economic group in Vietnam, with a very clear orientation of linking the interests of the enterprise with the development and progress of society, the prosperity of the country and the development trend of the world. The spirit of corporate citizenship is also clearly demonstrated, as Mr. Hien always shares with his colleagues.
3. "I always tell my leaders, no one is allowed to go out on the street, no one is left behind", Mr. Do Quang Hien said when sharing about his journey with T&T Group. 2023 is also the year T&T Group organizes the Ceremony to receive the First Class Labor Medal for the third time and celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Group's establishment (1993-2023). In the vision of businessman Do Quang Hien, the next 30 years of T&T Group will continue to "make constant efforts with the spirit of national pride and dedication". Moreover, he is talking about the aspiration of "creating a national brand on the international map for a strong and prosperous Vietnam". And he will not only cherish these aspirations. Right at the 30th Anniversary Ceremony, he announced a bonus for many cadres and employees, along with a call for the young generation: "You guys work, contribute, be passionate, there will be awards and happiness. Let's be happy, but do not forget our duties". Sharing about the Group's plans, his associates all said that Mr. Hien is a very brave person, never seen him give up regardless of any circumstances or difficulties. Therefore, when he reminded T&T people to “be more responsible, more dedicated and more devoted so that T&T can develop together with Vietnam to prosper”, they understood that the whole team would act together, with determination, with the support of the Founder. Be grateful, do not forget the past, but live in the present and the future so that the next 30 years of each business can make a breakthrough. This is the path for both him and his team.
