On the afternoon of June 5, the State-level survey delegation on the topic "Achievements in the development of the Party's theory on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam over 40 years of renovation" worked with the Standing Committee of the Tam Diep City Party Committee.
The survey delegation was led by Comrade Ta Ngoc Tan, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Deputy Head of the project.
Attending the meeting were comrade Bui Mai Hoa, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department; leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and a number of specialized departments and offices of Tam Diep city.
Since its establishment (1982) up to now, the Party Committee, government and people of Tam Diep city have achieved many achievements in socio-economic development, ensuring security, national defense and building a strong political system.
From a locality with a low starting point, Tam Diep city has now become a key economic zone of the province. In 2022, the state budget revenue in the area was 462 billion VND, reaching 200% of the estimate assigned by the province. The total production value in the area reached nearly 15,800 billion VND. Industrial production reached 10,750 billion VND, the whole city has over 650 enterprises attracting and creating jobs, stable income for over 70,000 workers. Trade and services have developed, export value reached over 350 million USD. Agricultural production is of interest, the product value per hectare of cultivated land reached 176.8 million VND; the city has 18 products recognized as OCOP products of the province; processed fruit and vegetable products of Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company are exported to many countries around the world. Average income per capita/year reached 68.7 million VND; poverty rate was 0.53%.
In 2017, Tam Diep city was recognized for completing the task of building new rural areas. Culture and society have made many advances, social security is guaranteed, people's lives are constantly improved. Urban space is expanded, infrastructure is invested, gradually approaching the criteria of type II urban areas. Administrative reform is carried out effectively, creating favorable conditions for people and businesses. Military and national defense work is strengthened; political security, social order and safety are maintained, creating a safe and stable environment to attract investment and develop the economy - society.
The city's political system has been constantly consolidated and improved. To date, the city's Party Committee has 65 Party Committees and affiliated Party cells, with over 6,000 Party members. The leadership method of the Party Committee has been innovated in the direction of focus, key points, and drasticness; the effectiveness and efficiency of management and operation of the government at all levels have been improved.
At the working program, delegates exchanged and discussed a number of contents such as: Adjusting the term of the Party cell congress at the grassroots level; the issue of assigning Party member recruitment targets; shortcomings and limitations when transferring affiliated Party committees to vertical sectors; the implementation of exemplary responsibilities of cadres, Party members, and leaders at the grassroots level; the work of rotating and mobilizing cadres; the issue of connecting Tam Diep urban area with districts and cities in the province; lessons learned in solving the problem of economic development associated with ensuring national defense and security; the work of preventing and fighting the COVID-19 epidemic in the city; urban governance; building cultural institutions at the grassroots level; developing education; strategies to preserve the cultural identity of Ninh Binh people in general and Tam Diep in particular; environmental protection work in the process of industrial development; The issue of ensuring raw material areas for businesses when their land is reclaimed to serve key national and provincial projects...
In his closing speech, Comrade Ta Ngoc Tan, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Vice Head of the project, Deputy Head of the survey team, highly appreciated the socio-economic development results of Tam Diep city, especially in industrial development, urban development and education. The experiences, good models, and creative thinking on Party building and socio-economic development in the locality are vivid practical materials for the Steering Committee to complete the project.
Previously, the survey team visited Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company and the East-West Road Construction Investment Project, Ninh Binh Province (Phase I).
