On the morning of March 25, the delegation visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in India. Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai welcomed the Trade Promotion Delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and said that in the context of the relationship between Vietnam and India being constantly expanded and developed, many Vietnamese business delegations have come to survey and seek partners here. The Ambassador also shared with the delegation some experiences in penetrating the market and affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy and the Trade Office are always ready to support Vietnamese enterprises to do business here. According to the Ambassador, the Indian market is very diverse. Enterprises need to be persistent when working with Indian partners. In addition, in order for Vietnamese products and goods to quickly penetrate and be known by Indian consumers, it is necessary to learn about and work with major distributors here.
On behalf of the Trade Promotion Delegation, Mr. Le Hong Minh, representative of the Trade Promotion Department, thanked the Ambassador for his support and said that the Indian market is currently an important market and is of interest to many Vietnamese enterprises. Enterprises participating in this delegation are looking for partners and expanding relations with local enterprises. Enterprises in the delegation discussed and proposed their needs and desires to find partners and all received positive feedback from the Ambassador.

In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited and worked with the Vietnam Trade Office in India. At the Trade Office headquarters, the delegation worked with the Director of the Global Trade and Technology Council (GTTCI) and a number of member enterprises. Enterprises in the delegation proactively exchanged and introduced products to Indian partners. Van Loc Phat Company was able to connect with Indian enterprises that wanted to import the company's products.

Following the program, on March 26, at the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi, the Vietnam - India Trade Promotion Conference was successfully held with the participation of more than 80 delegates from government representatives, trade promotion organizations, industry associations and businesses of the two countries.
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Ranjeet Mehta - Secretary General and CEO of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed the business delegation to visit and work in India. Organizing this trade promotion delegation is extremely necessary to create conditions for businesses of the two countries to strengthen cooperation, have more opportunities to directly exchange and sign contracts. Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Ranjeet Mehta said that Indian and Vietnamese businesses have great trade potential in the fields of agriculture, information technology, artificial intelligence and robotics. This direct exchange between businesses plays a very important role in promoting trade cooperation between the two countries in addition to the policy support of the two governments. He emphasized that PHDCCI provides many multi-sector platforms across India, which will support the enhancement of trade activities between businesses of the two countries.

Dialogue cooperation mechanisms, specialized cooperation subcommittees... have been maintained and promoted effectively. The leaders of the two countries' adoption of the Vietnam-India Joint Vision Statement on Peace, Prosperity and People (2020) has created new momentum for the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership in many areas of cooperation, bringing practical benefits to the governments and people of the two countries". Therefore, the initiative to organize a Trade Delegation to India with the participation of nearly 30 Vietnamese enterprises in the fields of agricultural products, food, consumer goods, textiles, processing and manufacturing, etc. is one of the specific and practical activities to help the business communities of both sides connect and cooperate more closely.

For his part, Commercial Counselor Bui Trung Thuong stated that the workshop demonstrated the active implementation of the results of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to India, aiming to increase the two countries' trade turnover to 20 billion USD by 2030. According to him, nearly 30 Vietnamese enterprises attending this workshop represent key sectors with growth prospects in the Indian market, including processed food, light industry, agricultural products such as spices, pepper and coffee, electronics and textiles. Direct interaction at the workshop provided an important opportunity to connect, explore potential partnerships and lay the foundation for expanded cooperation. In addition, the workshop was also an opportunity to help businesses enhance their understanding of each other's business environment and create a path for sustainable growth.

At the end of the workshop, businesses attended a B2B trade session at the PHDCCI headquarters. Here, businesses from both countries exchanged directly with each other and made useful connections for future cooperation. The trade session created valuable opportunities for Vietnamese business delegates to directly interact with Indian businesses, share production linkage opportunities, investment cooperation and areas of operation of businesses participating in the Delegation. Vietnamese businesses proactively worked and exchanged 1:1 with Indian businesses, with an estimated 100 transactions taking place.

Within the framework of the program, on March 27 and 28, the Delegation will continue to attend the Sourcex India 2025 Fair. This is a prestigious international fair in India, including the following industries: Food and non-food, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) as well as Services... The fair attracts a large number of Indian businesses to display products and more than 250 prestigious buyers from all over the world to participate in the event. At the fair, Vietnamese businesses will have a working session with the Indian Purchasing Association (BAA) and connect with BAA member businesses suitable for their fields and industries.
