On the morning of September 18, Comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, inspected the implementation of legal policies in disaster prevention, control, rescue, and environmental protection in Cam Pha City. Accompanying him was Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

According to the report of Cam Pha city, storm No. 3 caused severe damage to infrastructure and property in the area. Due to the impact of post-storm circulation, subsidence occurred in the Nga Hai area of group 7, zone 5, Quang Hanh ward, with a very high risk of landslides. To ensure the safety of the people, Cam Pha city has urgently evacuated 136 households in the dangerous area to other places.

Based on the actual work of preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in the area, Cam Pha city proposed and recommended a number of issues in the implementation of legal policies. In particular, there must be more specific regulations on responding to levels of natural disasters; strengthen forecasting work in the direction of increasing the number of forecast bulletins in a more specific way. At the same time, supplement support policies for households that are forced to temporarily relocate in emergency conditions of natural disasters; plan areas that can receive temporarily relocated households. On the other hand, supplement support policies for aquaculture households that suffer damage; study the overall status of mine waste dumps in the area to propose to central ministries and branches solutions for environmental restoration and use of mine waste rock.

Comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, emphasized that in addition to proposing resources to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, the more important issue is to propose amendments to inappropriate legal regulations. Ensure that legal regulations and policies cover issues arising in practice as well as affected subjects. Thereby, ensuring the synchronous and effective operation of the entire system in natural disaster prevention work. These are very important contents towards the goal of sustainable development and building a prosperous province. The comrade also requested that the city continue to research and supplement the contents of recommendations and proposals.

Based on the synthesis of the recommendations of localities, the National Assembly Delegation will give opinions at the upcoming National Assembly Session in October and recommend the Government, ministries and central branches to adjust legal regulations in accordance with reality.

On this occasion, Comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and the working delegation visited and encouraged officers and soldiers of the Cam Pha Port Border Guard Station; the Waterway Police Team, Cam Pha City Police and the family of Mr. Pho Van Ma, Zone 1, Cam Trung Ward.
