Dong Nai province delegation works with Son La province

On July 27, the delegation of Dong Nai province led by Mr. Nguyen Son Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a working session with Son La province to exchange and learn experiences in tourism development. Receiving and working with the delegation, our province had Ms. Trang Thi Xuan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of departments, branches and sectors of the province.

At the meeting, the leaders of Son La province informed about the socio-economic development situation and tourism development situation of the province. Son La has many potentials and advantages in nature and culture for tourism development; has an important position, located in the center of the national tourist route from Hanoi to the Northwestern provinces... In the first 6 months of 2023, Son La welcomed over 2.85 million tourists, with estimated revenue of 3,000 billion VND. The goal of the province is to develop Son La province tourism into a tourism center of the Northwestern region; build Moc Chau national tourist area into one of the leading tourist areas in the midland and mountainous region of the North; orient to build the Son La hydroelectric reservoir area into a national tourist area...

Comrade Nguyen Son Hung, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

Delegates from the two provinces discussed and shared experiences in tourism development in each locality, discussed tourism development planning; management of construction of accommodation facilities, tourism development projects; experiences in developing homestay services; forest protection management issues when developing tourism; attracting investment; communication and tourism promotion work, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Trang Thi Xuan provided more information about some policies on tourism development of Son La province; difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process and solutions specific to the province... At the same time, she hoped that the two provinces would continue to exchange practical experiences to effectively implement tourism development work in each locality.

On behalf of the Dong Nai Province delegation, comrade Nguyen Son Hung thanked Son La Province for the reception given to the delegation. At the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, the two provinces would continue to regularly exchange experiences in tourism development, aiming at the goal of sustainable tourism development in each locality, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of the province.
