According to SamMobile , an app called Beeper Mini has recently appeared that can bring iMessage interaction on iPhone to all Android smartphones, and the app has been received quite positively. After a successful launch, the developers of Beeper Mini have revealed some ambitious plans to bring FaceTime, RCS, and SMS to their app.
So Android phone users can soon use FaceTime calls with iPhone, iPad, and Mac users from their smartphones and tablets.
Beeper Mini lets Android phones interact with Apple's iMessage
Beeper says that the Beeper Mini will get more features in the near future. The company is aiming to bring FaceTime audio and video calls to the Beeper Mini. The team will also bring SMS and RCS support to the app. RCS messaging is getting more attention now that Apple has announced that it will open up the technology to iPhones next year. Beeper also says that it has big plans to integrate Signal and WhatsApp into its app.
The Beeper Mini team revealed on Reddit that iMessage and RCS will coexist in their app with the same phone number. In addition, the app will be offered with more features such as chat history import, chat backup import/export, Android chat bubbles, UI optimized for foldable phones and tablets, message scheduling, and block lists.
Beeper's upcoming development roadmap
In the future, Beeper Mini will be renamed to Beeper, while the current Beeper app will be renamed to Beeper Cloud, but that app may be discontinued in the future. However, the company has not provided an exact date for when the new features will be released.
