Barca are aiming to bring superstar Messi back to the Nou Camp, while Benzema has confirmed he will not leave Real Madrid for now.
* Barca is looking to strengthen its squad to aim for higher ambitions next season. In addition to the departure of veterans such as Sergio Busquets or Jordi Alba, the Catalan team also wants to bring back to their legendary Nou Camp stadium Lionel Messi. To "make room" for Messi's return, Barca is convincing Ansu Fati to move to a new destination. In addition, Raphinha is another name that will likely have to leave before Messi returns.

* A source close to the football website 90min confirmed that star Karim Benzema has decided to stay with his parent club Real Madrid for another season and has not yet decided to move to Saudi Arabia to play. Initially, Benzema agreed terms on a new one-year contract with Real in negotiations in March and was expected to sign at the end of this season. However, the 35-year-old star has since received an invitation from Al-Ittihad to play in Saudi Arabia's Saudi Pro League on a two-year contract worth up to 400 million Euros.

Benzema informed President Florentino Perez of his departure, and the Real boss made it clear that the club wanted him to stay, but the Frenchman had already decided at the time that he would end his career at Madrid after 14 years. However, many reputable football news outlets such as Marca and Goal said that further meetings were held, and that Benzema ultimately decided to stay for another season at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Previously, to "fill in" for Benzema's departure, Real had made moves to contact a number of potential candidates to replace the French striker, notably Tottenham's Harry Kane. However, Benzema's decision will help Real focus on strengthening other positions in their squad, including completing a deal for English star Jude Bellingham.
* Marco Asensio has decided to join Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on a free transfer when his contract with Real Madrid expires. The Spain international is a young star who emerged when Real won the UEFA Champions League in the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 seasons. Asensio scored only 12 goals in all competitions in both the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 seasons, which is the reason why he has not been a regular starter under coach Carlo Ancelotti. Therefore, Asensio has decided to leave the Bernabeu this summer to move to France.

According to 90min, Aston Villa offered to sign the 27-year-old in early May, but agent Jorge Mendes told Unai Emery's team that Asensio would join PSG. Asensio has also attracted interest from many big clubs such as Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Marseille.
The former Mallorca star made 285 appearances for Real and scored a total of 61 goals, winning three La Liga titles and three UEFA Champions League titles along with many other titles.
