Or the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) is also one of the notable highlights in the trade promotion activities of the two countries. At the 7th ASEAN-China Summit on October 8, 2003 in Bali, Indonesia, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao announced the initiative to hold the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) annually in Nanning City, Guangxi Province, China starting from 2004. This initiative has received the welcome and consensus of ASEAN Leaders.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has assigned the Trade Promotion Department as the focal agency, directly responsible for implementing the tasks related to the above tasks, and the leaders of the Trade Promotion Department, together with the leaders of the Chinese and ASEAN trade promotion agencies, are co-Deputy Heads of the Fair Secretariat.
“The China-ASEAN Expo and the China-ASEAN Trade and Investment Summit are among the most important trade promotion activities in the annual Vietnam-China trade promotion work. The fair is held annually in September in Nanning City, Guangxi Province, China,” said the Director of the Trade Promotion Department.
At the fairs, there were leaders of the Vietnamese Government and leaders of ministries and branches attending.
