On the afternoon of August 17, Hanoi University of Science and Technology officially announced the admission scores for regular universities in 2024 based on the high school graduation exam scores with scores ranging from 21 - 28.53 points; admission scores based on thinking assessment scores range from 50.2 - 83.82 points.
Specifically, the computer science program (IT1) has the highest standard score of 83.82 for the thinking assessment test score (TSA) and 28.53 for the high school graduation exam score (equivalent to 9.51 points/subject).
The computer engineering program (IT2) has a benchmark score of 82.08 for the thinking assessment (TSA) score and 28.48 for the high school graduation exam score, the second highest this year.
Next is the data science and artificial intelligence program (IT-E10) with scores of 81.6 and 28.22 points respectively.
The two programs with the lowest benchmark scores this year are TROY-IT and TROY-BA with scores of 50.29 for the thinking assessment (TSA) score and 21 for the high school graduation exam score.
According to Hanoi University of Science and Technology, for the thinking assessment test scores, the standard score is quite stable compared to 2023. As for the high school graduation exam scores, the standard score has decreased slightly compared to 2023.
"The reason is that Hanoi University of Science and Technology has added criteria for consideration in "hot" programs such as Computer Science, Control and Automation, Semiconductor Microchips using high school graduation exam scores," the school said.
Admission scores for training programs at Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2024 are as follows:
In 2024, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will recruit 9,260 students using three methods, including talent selection (about 20% of the target); selection based on the results of the thinking assessment test (about 30%); and selection based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores (about 50%).
Last year, the admission score to Hanoi University of Science and Technology based on high school graduation exam scores ranged from 21 to 29.42 points.
Computer science has the highest benchmark score of 29.42 points, the lowest is environmental engineering and environmental resource management with the same score of 21 points.
The next highest scoring industries are data science and artificial intelligence (28.80 points), computer engineering (28.29 points), Global ICT (28.16 points), and cyber security (28.05 points).
The admission score is based on the thinking assessment test score from 50.40 - 83.97 points. Of which, data science and artificial intelligence have the highest score, followed by computer science.
Tuition from 24 - 87 million VND/year
In 2024, tuition fees at Hanoi University of Science and Technology will be around 24-87 million VND/year, with many majors having a slight increase of 1 million VND/year compared to last year.
For the 2024 intake, tuition fees for standard programs range from 24 to 30 million VND/school year. Previously, in 2023, tuition fees for standard programs ranged from 23 to 29 million VND/school year, equivalent to an increase of about 1 million VND.
For high-quality programs, tuition fees remain stable at VND33 - 42 million/academic year, while data science and artificial intelligence (IT-E10) and logistics and supply chain management (EM-E14) programs have tuition fees of VND64 - 67 million/academic year, an increase of VND7 - 11 million/year compared to last year.
The international professional English dual degree program (FL2) has a tuition fee of 45 million VND/school year (including registration fee), remaining stable as last year.
Programs with other foreign language output standards (international programs) and international training partnerships (foreign partners awarding degrees) have tuition fees ranging from 24 to 29 million VND/semester (the TROY-BA and TROY-IT programs have 3 semesters per academic year). Last year, tuition fees ranged from 25 to 30 million VND.
