The award ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Trung Truc - Chairman of Tuy Phong District People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Tin - Secretary of Binh Thanh Commune Party Committee. On behalf of La Gan Wind Power Project, Ms. Dang Thanh Van - Director of External Relations attended and shared the meaning and message of the program.
The lighting system sponsored by the La Gan Offshore Wind Power Project consists of 68 5m high, 400W solar lights. The lighting system is installed along Route 716, providing convenience and safety for residents of Binh Thanh Commune and Lien Huong Town when traveling at night.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trung Truc, Chairman of Tuy Phong District People's Committee, praised the positive contributions of La Gan Wind Power Project to the local community. He said: "The district always welcomes and appreciates foreign enterprises to invest and contribute to the local development in terms of economy, environment and society".

Not only improving people’s lives, the solar lighting system also helps Tuy Phong district reduce its dependence on fossil fuels, thereby reducing CO2 emissions and contributing to environmental protection. Through this practical action, the La Gan Project continues to affirm its commitment to supporting Vietnam’s transition to green and sustainable energy.
Ms. Dang Thanh Van expressed: 'We hope that the solar lighting system will not only improve traffic safety for local people but also promote the trend of using renewable energy to protect the environment'.
Since its establishment in 2020, La Gan Company has made positive contributions to social and community development activities in Binh Thuan province.
The company presented gifts to 50 disadvantaged fishing families on the National Border Guard Day in Tuy Phong District. The company accompanied and sponsored the Binh Thuan Provincial Youth Union in the “Millions of An Sinh” program to send essential foods to help disadvantaged households fight the Covid-19 pandemic, participated in the “Internet and Computers for Children” program, as well as awarded scholarships to the Binh Thuan Provincial and Tuy Phong District Education Promotion Association to promote education and support students in difficult circumstances.
According to an economic impact study by BVG Associates, a World Bank consultancy, the La Gan offshore wind project will contribute approximately $4.4 billion to Vietnam’s economy and create more than 45,000 full-time equivalent jobs over the project’s lifetime. Once completed, the wind farm will provide electricity to more than 7 million Vietnamese households annually, helping to reduce 130 million tons of CO2 emissions over the project’s lifetime.
