The Math subject in the 2023 High School Graduation Exam has a test time of 90 minutes, in the form of a multiple-choice test including 50 questions.
According to experts, this year's exam keeps the same stable structure as previous years and corresponds to the reference exam that the Ministry of Education and Training announced in early March.
Specifically, the structure of the reference high school graduation exam in Mathematics is considered to remain stable, with almost no change compared to the official exam in 2022.
The math exam is expected to maintain the same familiar structure as previous years (photo by Trinh Phuc).
This is completely reasonable because it does not cause disruption to candidates' review, consistent with the main purpose of considering graduation recognition.
However, teachers still believe that the reference test still has some new questions and new ways of giving test data that are challenging for candidates who want to get full marks.
Therefore, in the official exam there will also be surprises for candidates.
Regarding the content of the graduation exam, it will also closely follow the structure and format of the high school graduation exam in recent years, complying with the structure announced by the Ministry of Education and Training, including 50 questions with a test time of 90 minutes.

Of which, 90% of the questions (45 questions) are from the 12th grade program and 10% of the questions (5 questions) are from the 11th grade program.
Regarding the difficulty of the exam: About 45 questions in the exam (90%) are familiar types of questions that students have become familiar with during the review process.
Of these, the first 39 questions are at the recognition - understanding level, and can be easily solved if you have a solid foundation of knowledge.
The test has 5 questions of a classified nature and is part of the 12th grade knowledge section on the topics of Complex numbers, functions, exponentials - logarithms, Oxyz shapes and integrals (similar to the 2022 Graduation exam).
The high-level application questions are mostly familiar types of questions that have appeared in previous exams (such as monotonicity of functions containing absolute value signs, area of a plane figure, min - max of complex number modules...).
In addition, the exam has a new type of question related to min - max and locus of points satisfying given conditions (question 49) and is highly classified.
To solve this question, students need to combine a lot of knowledge about Oxyz geometry such as angles in space; how to calculate distance...
