Ms. Nguyen Thi Da Thao, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center, informed that there are 61 bus routes connecting to metro line 1 stations. Of these, 44 are existing bus routes and 17 are newly opened routes.
These 17 routes, numbered from 153 to 169, will transport people from many neighboring areas, bus stations, high-tech zones, commercial centers, universities, colleges in Thu Duc City, Binh Thanh District, District 1 to the metro station and vice versa.
In particular, according to the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center, out of 61 routes, there are 27 bus routes so that people from suburban districts can go to Ben Thanh central station, District 1.
Specifically, from Can Gio, Nha Be districts and District 7, you can take bus route No. 75, Saigon - Can Gio Bus Station; No. 102, Saigon - Nguyen Van Linh - Mien Tay Bus Station; No. 34, Saigon - District 8 Bus Station; No. 31, Ton Duc Thang University - Ben Thanh - Van Lang University; No. 44, District 4 - Binh Quoi Port.
In addition to the above routes, passengers from Nha Be district and district 7 have more options with 3 routes 20, 72, 139.
From District 5 and 6, passengers can take bus routes 01, 39, 53, 56… to Ben Thanh Station. From Go Vap and Binh Thanh districts, passengers can take bus routes 18, 19… To Hoc Mon, Cu Chi and Tan Binh districts, passengers can take bus routes 04, 13, 27… to Ben Thanh Station.

Currently, in addition to buses and metro line 1, other forms of public transport including river buses and open-top double-decker buses have been integrated into the Go!Bus application, making it easy for people to look up information and choose suitable routes.
Passengers traveling by bus to Ba Son station can take bus routes 44, District 4 port - Binh Quoi; 56, Cho Lon bus station - New Eastern bus station; 88, Ben Thanh - Long Phuoc market. These routes all have routes through Ton Duc Thang street station and direct connection with electric bus route 155.

Many types of coordination
According to research, in addition to buses, passengers can use public bicycles with 45 stations in District 1 located near the stations. Of which, 3 locations are near Quach Thi Trang Square on Ham Nghi, Le Loi and Le Lai streets.
Currently, the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center is coordinating with many relevant agencies to conduct a survey to add 84 bicycle stations in 5 districts: 1, 3, 4, 5, 10. The Department of Transport has issued a list of 37 additional locations in districts 1 and 4.
At the 3 underground stations (Ben Thanh, City Theater, Ba Son), there will be 4-wheel electric cars operating flexibly in terms of routes and times, based on people's needs, with ticket prices of 5,000 - 10,000 VND/trip.
In addition to the connecting means, the infrastructure serving the connection of buses with metro line 1 has been completed. The Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center has invested in 5 bus parks at Van Thanh, Thao Dien, Rach Chiec, Phuoc Long, Binh Thai stations with a total area of over 5,000 m2. These parks provide passengers with many conveniences, including private parking lots with a total capacity of over 2,000 vehicles.
In addition, the remaining stations of metro line 1 are arranged with areas for personal vehicles, taxis, cars, and technology motorbikes to pick up and drop off passengers.
In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center also invested in adding 23 new bus shelters to the stations on the Hanoi - Vo Nguyen Giap highway and 230 stops for newly opened routes. Currently, the construction unit is urgently completing the painting, electrical equipment installation, sanitation, partitions, etc.
