Accelerating disbursement of public investment capital in 2025

(Baoquangngai.vn) - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh - Head of the Government's Working Group No. 1 chaired an online meeting with 9 ministries, central agencies and 9 localities on inspecting, urging, and removing difficulties and obstacles to promote public investment disbursement in 2025.

The ministries and central agencies inspected by Task Force No. 1 include: Office of the National Assembly, Office of the Government, Supreme People's Court, Supreme People's Procuracy, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government Inspectorate, Vietnam Cooperative Alliance; localities include: Hue City, Da Nang City, provinces: Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan.

In 2025, the total public investment capital of 18 ministries, central and local agencies under Task Force No. 1 assigned by the Prime Minister is more than VND 85.7 trillion. According to the report of the Ministry of Finance, the estimated disbursement as of March 27, 2025 of ministries, central and local agencies under Task Force No. 1 reached 11.4% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister, higher than the national average. However, there are still 2 ministries, central agencies and 5 localities with low disbursement levels, below the national average.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan reported on the situation and results of disbursement of public investment capital of the province at the meeting.

Reporting at the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan said that the 2025 public investment plan assigned to Quang Ngai by the Prime Minister is VND5,329 billion. Of which, local budget capital is VND4,109 billion, central budget capital is VND1,220 billion. Up to now, Quang Ngai has basically allocated all capital plans for programs, tasks, and projects. By March 31, 2025, Quang Ngai had disbursed about VND413 billion, equal to 7.75% of the assigned capital plan.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh requested ministries, central and local agencies to consider public investment disbursement as a key task. Focus on leadership, direction, promptly handle difficulties and problems that arise; transfer capital to projects with better disbursement capacity. Speed ​​up the construction progress of projects, ensuring construction quality associated with disbursement speed.

Regarding the unallocated capital in ministries, branches and localities, it is necessary to focus on completing the allocation work. With the proposals of ministries, central agencies and localities, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the units to complete the dossier and send it to the Ministry of Finance for appraisal.
