Promote trade connections, promote product consumption

On the afternoon of December 5, in Vinh city, the Nghe An Province Trade Connection Conference 2023 took place. Comrades: Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Viet Nga - Deputy Director of the Domestic Market Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade; Pham Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade chaired the conference.

Also attending were leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade, the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, the Trade Promotion Center, the Industrial Promotion Center of the provinces and cities: Dak Lak, Dong Nai, Vinh Long, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Ninh Binh..., many distributors and manufacturers inside and outside the province.

Opportunity to connect production and product consumption

The conference listened to reports on the potential of goods and services in Nghe An, the results of trade activities, and the connection between supply and demand in recent times; and the opinions and discussions of representatives of distribution enterprises, cooperatives, and manufacturing enterprises in the province and neighboring provinces.

To date, Nghe An has had 403 products ranked as 3-star OCOP or higher; of which, 1 product is ranked as 5-star; 43 products are ranked as 4-star and 359 products are ranked as 3-star. Nghe An is the second province in the country in terms of the number of recognized star-rated products, contributing to the development of the domestic market.

At the conference, more than 100 enterprises, production and trading establishments, farms, cooperatives, and craft villages inside and outside the province displayed and introduced many products that were highly appreciated by consumers. Distributors also researched and selected many suitable products to introduce and enrich their consumption chains.

Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Pham Van Hoa shared: This is a good opportunity for businesses, production facilities, goods and service suppliers to directly contact the distribution system, propose the demand for supply and consumption of goods and services with traditional and modern distribution units and systems. Distributors also have the opportunity to present requirements and regulations on quality standards of goods and services to be included in the distribution chain system.

The conference also creates connections between managers, manufacturers, suppliers and distributors, thereby building appropriate strategies in research, development and market expansion, appropriate production orientation, forming a sustainable and effective supply chain. Through this conference, we also realize more clearly the need to promote trade promotion, connect manufacturers and distributors to solve the output of goods and services.

Continue to promote consumption of Vietnamese goods

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Viet Nga - Deputy Director of the Domestic Market Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade, hoped that enterprises, trade centers, supermarkets, distributors, etc. will continue to pioneer and accompany functional agencies and production units to promote the consumption of Vietnamese goods in general and specialties of Nghe An province in particular. Enterprises, cooperatives, households producing and trading Vietnamese goods and local specialties will continue to improve the competitiveness of products, build brands, and link with large distribution systems to promote the consumption of Vietnamese goods and specialties of Nghe An province in domestic and foreign markets.

To continue implementing the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", at the same time, promote production, business, improve products, speaking at the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh requested the Department of Industry and Trade, the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion to coordinate with relevant departments, branches and units to annually organize trade promotion activities, trade in provinces and cities across the country, creating conditions for production, supply and distribution enterprises to meet, discuss cooperation opportunities, promote consumption of goods. Move towards organizing trade connection activities according to the model of specializing in each field, industry combined with many rich and diverse events and activities.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Science and Technology, the Cooperative Union, and localities... continue to be proactive and pay attention to developing OCOP products, typical rural industries, and typical products with local development advantages; Build a database system to connect to the modern distribution system, aiming for export.

At the conference, a ceremony was held to hand over the minutes of cooperation between distribution enterprises WinCommerce, retail chain BRG, Tu Son An Giang Supermarket, Alibaba e-commerce platform, MM Mega Market Vinh Supermarket, Go Vinh Supermarket, Lotte Mart Vinh Supermarket, BiBi Green chain of stores, Sunmart Vinh chain of stores, Elder Farm, ... and production and supply units of goods and services inside and outside the province.
