On December 28, news from the Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Party Committee said that the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee had just held its 34th meeting and reviewed and decided on a number of important contents.
The meeting was chaired by Ms. Pham Thi Minh Hue - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee.
At the meeting, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee approved the results of the inspection, review and disciplinary action against the Party Committee of the Department of Health for the 2015-2020 term and related party members.
Accordingly, after reviewing the inspection team's report, the Inspection Committee found that the Party Committee of the Department of Health for the 2015-2020 term lacked responsibility in leadership, direction, and organization of the implementation of working regulations; and did not strictly comply with the Party's organizational and operational principles.
At the same time, there was a lack of inspection and supervision of party organizations and party members in implementing and organizing the implementation of the Party's policies and regulations and the State's laws, allowing violations and shortcomings in the implementation of projects/bid packages related to the International Progress Joint Stock Company (AIC) invested by the Department of Health.
Including incomplete collection and storage of records and documents, and late settlement of 2 bidding packages of the Southern General Hospital project of Thua Thien-Hue province from 2016 to present (bidding package No. 29 on the supply and installation of a complete medical waste incinerator; bidding package No. 51 on the construction and installation of a wastewater treatment system); violations of regulations in management and construction investment.
The implementation has not ensured the management of party members according to regulations. According to the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission, the violations and shortcomings of the Party Committee of the Department of Health have affected the prestige and leadership role of the Party Committee.
From there, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission decided to discipline the Party Committee of the Department of Health for the 2015-2020 term by reprimand. This is the second time in the past two years that the Party Committee of the Department of Health of Thua Thien-Hue province has been disciplined.
Previously, on December 6, 2022, at the 24th session, the Inspection Committee of the Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Party Committee decided to discipline the Party Committee of the Department of Health of Thua Thien-Hue province, term 2020-2025, by reprimand.
According to the Inspection Committee of Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Party Committee, the Party Committee of the Department of Health for the 2020-2025 term was disciplined for violating the Party's organizational and operational principles such as: Loosening leadership and direction, allowing some Party cells and Party committees to violate the construction and implementation of working regulations; violating the principle of democratic centralism in activities, allowing some Party members to degrade in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, violations in purchasing and bidding for medical equipment and supplies, using funds for epidemic prevention and control; receiving money and goods to serve the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic not in accordance with regulations...
