On the afternoon of July 19, Dam Vinh Hung shared on his personal page after being administratively fined 27.5 million VND and having his performing activities suspended for 9 months.
Dam Vinh Hung apologizes to the audience
He shared: "Currently, I am in the US doing a tour that was scheduled and signed a few months ago.
Through the management company, I have just received information from the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports about the temporary suspension of both domestic and international performances for 9 months from the date of receiving the decision.
Therefore, I sincerely apologize to the audience and fans for not appearing to perform in the upcoming shows.
I will also quickly return to Vietnam to coordinate with relevant departments to continue resolving issues related to the recent incident."
Dam Vinh Hung sends his sincere apologies and thanks to the audience and looks forward to seeing you again soon after implementing the administrative penalty decision.

On May 4 , singer Dam Vinh Hung organized the live show Ngay em den sao troi , at Thisky Hall Sala (HCMC). This is considered a live show in which he put a lot of effort and invested many ideas.
After the live show, on forums, many audiences debated the badges that Dam Vinh Hung wore on his performance costume and said that these badges were sensitive.

Hung sends his apology to the audience and crew. Once again, I hope the audience will sympathize and accept Hung's apology."
On the afternoon of May 9, a representative of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City said that the department had invited organizations, individuals, and units to work on the content of the reflection and collect related artifacts.
According to the report, the costumes and accessories are for decorative purposes only, creating aesthetic effects, and have no other purpose.
At noon on May 13 , speaking with Tuoi Tre Online, Ms. Le Thi Anh Mai - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports - informed about Dam Vinh Hung's live show "The Day I Light the Stars ", taking place on May 18, at the Hanoi National Convention Center.
Ms. Anh Mai noted: "The Department will require Dam Vinh Hung to commit to issues related to costumes, ensuring compliance with legal regulations."

By the afternoon of June 13 , a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports responded to Tuoi Tre Online : "The comments stated that the performances through stage art, along with the use of stylized foreign military-style costumes and accessories with medals and medal symbols on the singers' costumes, were not suitable for the content of the performances and the overall program, and were not suitable for Vietnamese cultural values; they easily evoked sensitive issues related to politics. The above content violated regulations on performing arts activities."
On July 10 , Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy - Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee - signed a decision to administratively fine singer Dam Vinh Hung with a fine of 27.5 million VND, and at the same time applied an additional penalty of suspending performing activities for 9 months from the date of receiving the decision.
