The information was given by TUV, Director of the Department of Home Affairs Do Tan Suong at the 19th Provincial Party Executive Committee Conference, term XII, term 2020 - 2025.
The Director of the Department of Home Affairs informed that regarding the arrangement of abolishing the district level and merging the commune level, the Ministry of Home Affairs has just completed the draft Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of administrative units and sent it to the Ministry of Justice for appraisal.
Dak Nong currently has 71 communes, wards and towns. According to the previous orientation, the Department of Home Affairs has also proactively submitted to the Standing Committee a plan to rearrange to 22 commune-level administrative units (reduced by 70%).
Currently, the document has also finalized the first criterion of reducing by a minimum of 70% and a maximum of 75%. Thus, according to this criterion, it is expected that Dak Nong province will have at least 18 commune-level units and a maximum of 21 commune-level units.
However, after consulting, most districts and cities proposed to reduce the number of commune-level units to 21-22 after the rearrangement.
Thus, no later than today (March 27), the Department of Home Affairs will report these commune-level arrangement plans to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration.
