FPT University has moved up to 601-800 in the global university rankings for sustainable development - THE Impact Rankings, after one year in the 801-1000 group.

The rankings were announced by the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) magazine. This year, FPT University participated in the assessment of 5 goals: SDG 4 - Quality education; SDG 8 - Decent economic growth and employment; SDG 11 - Sustainable cities and communities; SDG 16 - Peace, equity and strong institutions; SDG 17 - Global partnership for sustainable development goals.

In particular, SGD 4 - Quality Education is highly appreciated with a ranking of 201-300 out of 1,304 universities worldwide and second in Vietnam, just after Hanoi National University. This is a goal built to evaluate how a university develops quality education to support sustainable social development.

In the evaluation categories of SGD 4, FPT University achieved a near-maximum score (98.5/100 points) for the category of "lifelong learning of learners". The unit builds a training program that focuses on equipping self-study capacity and practicing proactive learning skills, adapting well to a diverse learning environment, a large amount of knowledge, and rapid change.

In addition, the school has a policy of providing free Coursera accounts to alumni, to encourage lifelong learning, contributing to improving the research capacity of the community. The school also achieved approximately 80/100 points for the "first generation to attend college" category with policies to encourage and expand access to education for candidates who are the first generation in their family to set foot in college.

This is the goal the school has established and maintained since 2022 with the desire to preserve and promote traditional values, in harmony with the common goal of sustainable development.

In addition, "SDG 17 - Partnership for SDGs" is a mandatory goal for 100% of universities participating in the ranking, and at the same time, has the highest assessment of education and training quality. FPT University is ranked in the 401-600 group in this goal.

"This shows the new trend of many educational systems in the world when paying attention to developing training according to the United Nations' sustainable standards, in line with the general development trend of world politics, economy and society," said the school representative.

In addition to FPT University, Vietnamese education representatives in the rankings also include: Hanoi National University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, University of Economics, Duy Tan University, Ton Duc Thang University, Phenikaa University and Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.
