As for the priority admission method, scores are calculated based on essays and recommendation letters from the high school principal.
This year, the school received 91 applications and 216 wishes for method 1; 2,993 applications and 7,321 wishes for method 2.
For both methods, candidates access the school's website mybk.hcmut.edu.vn; then enter their ID card number or citizen ID card to look up the admission results.
Both of these early admission methods have the same benchmark, ranging from 69.7 - 86.9 points (depending on the major).
The school notes that the admission scores are the same for all majors in the same group. Students will be assigned to majors from the second year based on their wishes and academic results.
In case many candidates have the same admission score and the number of candidates exceeds the quota, for the Industrial Management and English/Advanced programs, the school will give priority to candidates with higher English scores. For the remaining programs, candidates with higher Math scores will be admitted.
In addition, candidates who have been announced as expected to be eligible for admission under these two methods must re-register this wish at the Ministry of Education and Training's admission registration portal from July 10 to before 5:00 p.m. on July 30, 2023. If they do not re-register on the Ministry's portal, it means that candidates will not use this result for admission.

Method 3: Consider candidates with international admission certificates or foreign candidates (1% - 5% of total enrollment quota).
Method 4: Admission based on high school results combined with interviews for candidates planning to study abroad (1% - 5% of total quota).
