(To Quoc) - On March 20, the Vietnam - Japan cultural exchange program 2025 with many unique cultural exchange activities took place at Dong A University (Da Nang).
This is the 10th annual program, aiming to celebrate the 52nd anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Japan diplomatic relations (1973-2025).
The program was attended by the Consul General of Japan in Da Nang and more than 500 students from high schools in the area, along with an art troupe from Tokyo, Japan.

With many cultural and artistic exchange activities between Vietnam and Japan interwoven throughout the day, the Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange Program 2025 at Dong A University is open to all students and high school students in the city to learn about Japanese culture, people and language. Attracting more than 6,000 participants in the contents of the festival, the program also became the year with the highest number of participants after 10 times of organization.
Speaking at the opening session, Mr. Mori Takero - Consul General of Japan in Da Nang City acknowledged the hard work and perseverance of the organization and congratulated Dong A University on the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam - Japan cultural exchange event at the school.
Along with the vibrant cultural exchange activities is the development of a network of partners including 8 provinces and cities, 13 universities and academies, and more than 130 large and small corporations and enterprises, which provide good support for students' post-graduation employment, including many former students of Dong A University who have found jobs and built successful careers at businesses in Japan or Japanese businesses in Vietnam.
Mr. Mori Takero also expressed his hope that university students and high school students will partly see the beauty of Japan and the beauty of the Vietnam-Japan relationship through this program.

Dr. Ngo Quang Vinh - Vice President of Dong A University shared that he realized the strong impacts of this event on students, especially adding a "channel" for them to have the opportunity to learn and explore Japanese culture, people and language through a series of lively exchange activities taking place throughout the day. This has contributed significantly to strengthening the cooperative and friendly relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
At the program, the Japanese - Vietnamese cultural space was vividly recreated with impressive performances. Opening the series of exchange activities, strengthening the Vietnam - Japan friendship was the cheerful yosakoi dance of Dong A University students and the performance "Sekai ni hitotsu dake no hana" from the Japanese art troupe.
Participating in the performance of large-character calligraphy, artist Sakamoto Koichi - Head of the art troupe from Japan also performed for the 5th time with artists at the Vietnam - Japan programs of Dong A University. This year, the Japanese art troupe brought 14 performances imbued with unique Japanese culture. These included live reenactment of the famous Anime Naruto, introduction and performance of wearing Japanese kimono, Ikebana flower art, Japanese painting art, large-character calligraphy performance on large paper... and with students experiencing this unique traditional culture right on stage.

The Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange Program 2025 at Dong A University also has folk games imbued with Vietnamese - Japanese traditions such as Yabusame archery, Paper fishing (Kingyo Sukui), throwing balls into baskets, hopscotch, throwing rings into poles... which students are excited to learn and participate in.
Along with that, there are 14 interwoven booths introducing Vietnamese - Japanese culinary culture and small folk games, the experience of wearing Japanese costumes and taking photos in "Japanese spaces"; recreating the festival space with Japan's unique Nagashi Somen Bamboo Noodle Festival; an elaborate Cosplay Festival (character costume performance) through the participation of many students, high school students, Japanese artists and young people who love Japanese culture in Da Nang.
In addition, the program is also enthusiastically awaited by many high school students with a flashmob competition for high school students in Da Nang City...
On this occasion, 16 Vietnam-Japan bridge scholarships were also awarded to students of various majors participating in a 1-year internship program in Japan from the second quarter of 2025.
