At exactly 2:00 p.m. today (July 3), the 10th grade benchmark approval council in Ho Chi Minh City met and announced the 10th grade benchmark for the 2024-2025 school year.

In the 2024-2025 school year, 114 public high schools in Ho Chi Minh City will enroll 77,355 students in grade 10. This year, Ho Chi Minh City has 98,681 grade 9 students registering for the grade 10 exam. Thus, this year's grade 10 entrance exam will have 78.3% of students passing the public grade 10 exam.

According to the published competition ratio list, Nguyen Huu Huan High School (Thu Duc City) has the highest competition ratio for grade 10, at 1 to 3.54. Nguyen Thuong Hien High School (Tan Binh District) is ranked 2nd with 1 to 3.16. Next is Ho Thi Bi High School (Hoc Mon District) with a ratio of 1 to 3.06.

Some schools still maintain high competition ratios, such as Trung Vuong High School (1 vs. 2.32), Le Quy Don High School (1 vs. 2.63), Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School (1 vs. 2.7), Gia Dinh High School (1 vs. 2.64). There are also Bui Thi Xuan High School, Luong The Vinh High School, Practicing High School (University of Education), Mac Dinh Chi High School, Thanh Loc High School, Binh Hung Hoa High School, Thu Duc High School, Nguyen Huu Tien High School, Pham Van Sang High School, Tran Phu High School, Nguyen Chi Thanh High School, Phu Nhuan High School, Tran Hung Dao High School, etc. with competition ratios above 2.

According to information from the standard score approval council, the highest standard score for the first choice belongs to Nguyen Thuong Hien High School (Tan Binh) with a score of 24.25.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, from the announcement of the 10th grade benchmark scores and the list of candidates admitted to grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year until 4:00 p.m. on August 1, 2024, at the latest, candidates admitted to high school must submit their admission applications to the schools they have been admitted to. Candidates who do not submit their admission applications will have their names removed from the admission list. High schools are not allowed to accept candidates outside the admission list.
