(Entry to the contest "Impressions of Vietnamese coffee and tea" under the program "Honoring Vietnamese coffee and tea" for the 3rd time, 2025 organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper).
Someone once said that coffee is the bridge between night and day, between quiet and hustle. For me, coffee is not just a drink but has permeated every breath, becoming an inseparable part of life. Like a silent stream, coffee has crept into my habits, my thoughts, and even my steps every day.
Coffee becomes an indispensable joy every day
I can no longer remember the first moment I touched my lips to that bitter, sweet drop of coffee. I only know that now, when dawn gently shakes, the first thought that flashes through my mind is the passionate, seductive aroma.
It is not an "addiction" as many people say, but a deep "addiction", a natural need like breathing. "Addiction" in me is the appreciation of a companion, the expectation of an exciting start, not a dependence that is difficult to break.
Daily joy with a cup of coffee at a familiar shop with friends
Over a cup of coffee in the morning, my world slowly opens up. The thick black coffee is like a stream of ideas, helping me organize the tasks that need to be completed, visualize upcoming meetings, and outline potential projects and startups.
A cup of coffee is not only a catalyst for alertness, but also a place for me to calm down and listen to my cherished plans. That habit has accompanied me on my journey as an office worker, witnessing many ups and downs, many efforts.
Coffee is not just a drink, but also a friend who quietly listens to thoughts, inspires ideas, and adds motivation to each day. It is a precious moment of silence in the hustle and bustle, a solid spiritual support. For me, starting each day with a cup of coffee is not just a habit, but a ritual to cherish life, cherish the opportunities and challenges that await.
And have you found a companion for your every day?
