Former US police officer admits forcing suspect to lick urine

The incident occurred on December 23, 2023 after former officer Michael Christian Green, then a patrol officer with the Pearl City Police Department, responded to a report of a disturbance at a club.

Security camera footage shows that after being detained, the anonymous suspect asked to go to the toilet but was not allowed to, so he urinated in a corner of the cell. Hearing the news, former officer Green threatened to hit the suspect with his phone if he did not lick the urine.

Pearl City authorities were later made aware of the incident and launched an internal investigation, before Officer Green resigned on December 27, 2023, and was criminally prosecuted. Sentencing is scheduled for June 12, with a sentence of up to 12 months in prison. Former Officer Green’s attorney has not commented.
