Voters propose solutions to solve power shortage

This afternoon, June 27, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, including comrades: Duong Van An - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Huu Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Pham Thi Hong Yen - Standing Member of the Economic Committee of the National Assembly, Provincial National Assembly Delegate, had a meeting with voters of Ham Liem and Ham Hiep communes, Ham Thuan Bac district to report the results of the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

At the meeting, after listening to the report of the results of the 5th Session by Provincial National Assembly Delegate Pham Thi Hong Yen, voters of the two communes highly appreciated the innovations and effectiveness in the activities of the National Assembly as well as the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

At the meeting, voters reflected on the ongoing power shortage that has directly affected people's lives. In the face of prolonged heat and rotating power outages, voters want the State to have a synchronous solution to overcome the power shortage. Regarding the North-South Expressway section passing through the province, voters recommended that the Ministry of Transport and relevant agencies promptly construct intersections, access roads, and drainage culverts to serve people's travel and transportation of goods.

Regarding the draft Land Law (amended), some voters suggested that the National Assembly continue to study it carefully, ensuring that the provisions are practical and feasible; in which, attention should be paid to the problems and long-standing problems, especially the regulations surrounding the area of land division; procedures for converting residential land to build houses... Voters also suggested that the State should study preferential policies for village chiefs, commune chiefs, cooperative directors, and soldiers who were discharged from the army before 2000. At the same time, consider studying and amending the procedures for purchasing public assets in the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets.

Voters want the Provincial People's Committee to provide a specific schedule for receiving citizens, with more days, and a hotline to promptly grasp people's concerns. At the same time, it is necessary to pay attention to resolving policies for people to contribute to improving the quality of people's lives. Pay attention to the quality of civil servants, exchange new positions to promote capacity, improve professional quality. Voters also suggest implementing many movements and activities for today's youth, promoting the role of the Youth Union; along with that, implementing solutions to maintain environmental sanitation, ensuring security and order at the grassroots level...

Discussing and informing voters about the issue of power shortage, Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province, Duong Van An, emphasized: The 5th session approved a supplementary assessment report on the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in 2022; the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in the first months of 2023. Many opinions of National Assembly deputies also questioned the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade on this issue. In order to implement solutions to ensure electricity supply in the coming time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has established a specialized inspection team to comprehensively inspect the management and supply of electricity of the Vietnam Electricity Group and requested consideration to ensure electricity for people's daily life and production.

Regarding the proposal to expand and upgrade the access road for people, the Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province acknowledged and gave opinions to the Ministries, branches of the Central Government and the province to invest and complete it soon. Regarding the regulations on purchasing public assets, the National Assembly passed the Bidding Law to ensure bidding in accordance with regulations, limiting budget loss and negativity in purchasing public assets.

Regarding planning, the Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation affirmed that it is necessary to have a long-term vision and plan a long-term strategy to achieve the set roadmap and goals. Regarding the slow implementation of land procedures, people have to go back and forth many times, the Provincial Party Standing Committee has concluded that local Party committees and authorities should promptly rectify and organize assessments and measurements of people's satisfaction at the land registration office to resolve and strictly handle...
