
The art creation camp “Elephants - The Pride of Buon Don, Dak Lak” takes place in 3 months (from January to April 2025) with many diverse activities such as: Actual creation in Buon Don district; learning about the life of elephants as well as the people here, thereby honoring traditional cultural values, spreading the love of majestic nature to the community.
As a result, the Organizing Committee received 19 works from 15 authors with diverse materials and forms of expression such as: welded iron, wood, composite, eel-skin glazed ceramic, oil paint...

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 A prize to the work “Ban Don Sun” by sculptor Nguyen Vinh; 2 B prizes to the works “Thirst for Origin” by sculptor Le Trong Nghia and “Back to the Forest 1” by painter Nguyen Hai Long; and also awarded 4 C prizes and 5 consolation prizes.
Sculptor Nguyen Vinh shared: The work “Ban Don Sun” is made from welded iron (size 145x100x40cm). The work conveys the hope for the reproduction of the next generation of elephants when the number of domesticated elephants in Dak Lak is currently decreasing significantly, getting older and very few elephants are still able to reproduce.
“Through the work “Ban Don Sun”, I hope that elephants will have a natural living environment and can reproduce naturally to preserve their breed,” said sculptor Nguyen Vinh.
