The hydrological situation in the reservoir basins in the second quarter was not favorable compared to 2022. The water flow to Don Duong Lake was 20.67m 3 /s while the flow to the lake in the same period in 2022 was 29.99m 3 /s. The water flow to Ham Thuan Lake also decreased significantly, reaching only 35.08m 3 /s while the flow in the same period in 2022 reached 47.73m 3 /s.
In the context of increasing load demand and difficulties in power supply during the peak of hot weather, DHĐ Company has proactively coordinated with the National Power System Control Center (A0) to effectively operate hydropower plants to perform dual tasks: supplying electricity to the national power system and providing enough water for the downstream areas of Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces.

According to the results of the second quarter of 2023, the Company produced 672.83 million kWh, reaching 109.36% of the plan (the plan was 615.26 million kWh). With the above output, the Da Nhim - Song Pha hydropower cluster provided Ninh Thuan province with 177 million m3 of water, and the Ham Thuan - Da Mi hydropower cluster provided Binh Thuan province with 128 million m3 of water for daily life and agricultural cultivation. In the first 6 months of 2023, the Company produced 1 billion 369 million kWh, reaching 47.47% of the 2023 plan.
In order to ensure the safe and stable operation of construction equipment systems, in the first 6 months of the year, the Company completed the maintenance and repair of hydropower units according to the registered schedule, including: H4 Da Nhim Hydropower Plant, H1 and H2 Da Mi Hydropower Plant.
In addition to the task of producing electricity and supplying water to the downstream, in the second quarter, the Company organized many activities on occupational safety and hygiene - fire prevention, flood and storm prevention and environmental protection such as: Implementing the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene in 2023; organizing activities in response to World Environment Day in 2023; rehearsing natural disaster prevention and search and rescue at Don Duong Lake and Ham Thuan Lake; coordinating with the Police of Ninh Thuan and Lam Dong provinces to train, rehearse, and issue certificates of fire prevention and rescue for the Grassroots Fire Prevention and Fighting Team; coordinating with localities to organize field inspections of the current status of flood discharge flows downstream of Da Nhim River, La Nga River and Da Mi River; Check and repair materials, vehicles, equipment, and necessities for disaster prevention and search and rescue work in vulnerable areas of the Da Nhim - Song Pha, Ham Thuan - Da Mi hydropower clusters and the Da Mi solar power plant...
The entire leadership and employees of the Company continue to strive to complete the planned output of 802.08 million kWh in the third quarter, aiming to complete the entire production and business plan for 2023 approved by the General Meeting of Shareholders.
