Recognizing 3 districts meeting new rural standards

The new rural appearance of Chau Thanh district, Soc Trang province is increasingly prosperous.

Specifically, in Decision No. 1611/QD-TTg, Mo Cay Nam district, Ben Tre province was recognized as meeting new rural standards in 2023.

In Decision No. 1612/QD-TTg, Chau Thanh district, Soc Trang province was recognized as meeting new rural standards in 2023.

In Decision No. 1613/QD-TTg, Con Dao district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province was recognized as meeting new rural standards in 2024.

The People's Committees of the three provinces of Ben Tre, Soc Trang, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau are responsible for announcing and rewarding according to regulations; directing the People's Committees of the above districts to continue to maintain and improve the quality of the criteria, focusing on economic and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in new rural construction.

It is known that Mo Cay Nam district has 15/15 communes recognized as meeting new rural standards, reaching a rate of 100%; the number of communes recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards meeting the Criteria for the period 2021-2025 is 03/15 communes, a rate of 20%; 01 town has been recognized as meeting civilized urban standards, reaching a rate of 100%; 01 model new rural commune (Dinh Thuy), a rate of 6.7%.

Chau Thanh district started implementing the new rural construction since 2011. After more than 13 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, up to now, Chau Thanh district has 7/7 communes meeting the new rural standards. The district has achieved 9/9 criteria of a new rural district.

Up to now, Con Dao has achieved the criteria for building a new rural area. The new rural area program has mobilized large resources from the whole society, especially in building and completing rural infrastructure, improving the environment, mobilizing investment capital for production development, increasing income and quality of living environment for people. With efforts in the process of building a new rural area, the material life of Con Dao people has been increasingly improved. Up to now, the average income per capita in Con Dao is more than 90 million VND/person/year, the highest in the province and the district has no poor households.
