National Assembly delegation of Son La province meets voters in border areas

Comrade Nguyen Huu Dong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, member of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs, headed the delegation.

The delegation included comrades: Nguyen Dinh Viet, member of the Economic and Financial Committee of the National Assembly, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Son La province; Hoang Thi Doi, member of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Son La province.

The National Assembly delegation of Son La province met with voters of Cluster 4 border communes of Yen Chau district.

The National Assembly delegation of Son La province informed voters about the results of the delegation's activities between the two sessions of the National Assembly; announced the expected content and program of the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly, which will take place in May, regarding the review and approval of 35 laws, resolutions, and decisions on truly urgent matters serving the work of reorganizing the apparatus and issues closely related to socio-economic development and national development.

At the meeting with voters, the voters of the four border communes of Long Phieng, Chieng Tuong, Phieng Khoai and Tu Nang requested competent authorities to pay attention to investing in projects under the National Target Program on socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

Voter representatives of Cluster 4 communes made recommendations at the voter meeting.

Voters of Cluster 4 communes proposed to invest in upgrading National Highway 6C; upgrading the border belt road to ensure good border patrol and protection; and considering and supporting investment in building cultural houses in the villages after the merger.

Voters of Cluster 4 communes also requested attention to upgrading digital infrastructure to serve the digital transformation task; promptly invest in upgrading the irrigation water system of Xa Lep village, Phieng Khoai commune to ensure a stable water source and effectively serve agricultural production.

Voters also recommended that all levels pay attention to allocating funds to build roads from Pa Kha 2 and Bo Hin villages, Chieng Tuong commune, Yen Chau district to Chieng Khua commune, Moc Chau district. At the same time, there should be early support policies for non-professional commune-level officials who have to quit their jobs according to Conclusion 137-KL/TW dated March 28, 2025 of the Politburo on the Project to rearrange and reorganize administrative units at all levels and build a model of organizing a 2-level local government; provide enough medicine, medical equipment and supplies in the health insurance list to pay for people when going to the doctor.

On behalf of the National Assembly Delegation of Son La province and the People's Committee of Son La province, comrade Nguyen Dinh Viet received and responded to voters' opinions and recommendations within his authority; at the same time, synthesized voters' opinions to the National Assembly and competent agencies for consideration and settlement according to regulations.
