Minh Dai Youth Economic Zone is ranked as a National Historical Site.

According to this decision, the relic protection area is determined according to the minutes and maps of the relic protection areas in the dossier. The People's Committees at all levels where the ranked relics are located, within the scope of their tasks and powers, shall carry out state management of the relics according to the provisions of the law on cultural heritage.

The Youth Economic Zone is a special pilot model to bring lowland youth to develop the mountainous economy, both producing export goods and training cadres to support the southern battlefield, the army, and other sectors and localities.

On December 23, 1970, Deputy Prime Minister Do Muoi signed Decision No. 268 allowing the Central Youth Union to mobilize 500 outstanding members from the provinces of Nam Ha, Hai Hung, Vinh Phu (old) and Thai Binh, and at the same time select 100 technical staff from state agencies to participate.

On February 23, 1971, the Youth Economic Zone was established in 7 communes of Thanh Son district (now Tan Son district), of which Minh Dai commune is the center.

The stele marks the day on September 20, 1972, when the US imperialists bombed the Youth Economic Zone, killing 45 youth volunteer cadres and members.

According to the decision, the Youth Economic Zone has the task of building a pilot model of bringing lowland youth to develop the mountainous economy, growing agricultural products for export to the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe in exchange for goods to serve the resistance war against the US to save the country.

With enthusiasm and love for the Fatherland, the outstanding young people of that year did not hesitate to face difficulties and hardships, volunteering to go on the road to perform labor production tasks, build new economic zones, study culture, and practice politics. Through labor production, a class of young people was trained to be "both red and expert" according to the formula 8+2+2, that is, 8 hours of production, 2 hours of study, and 2 hours of military training.

After a year of overcoming difficulties and hardships, life was temporarily stable, but on September 20, 1972, American aircraft suddenly attacked the Youth Economic Zone because they believed that this was a place to train cadres for the southern battlefield. After half an hour of bombing, American aircraft dropped 128 bombs and launched many rockets into the center, killing 45 youth volunteer cadres and members and injuring 26 others. Immediately after the above event, on September 30, 1972, Deputy Prime Minister Do Muoi sent a letter of condolences to the Youth Economic Zone.

The Youth Economic Zone was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the Government during the period of resistance against the US and national salvation; 300 Medals for the cause of rural development in Vietnam, 270 Commemorative Medals for the development of the tea industry were awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture; 700 Commemorative Medals for the Youth Volunteers were awarded by the Central Youth Union... In particular, 45 youth volunteer cadres and members who sacrificed on September 20, 1972 were awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Fatherland, 26 people were recognized as war invalids.

The ranking of the relic of the center of the Minh Dai Youth Economic Zone as a National Historical Relic will continue to affirm the value and role of the relic, show gratitude to previous generations, and continue to educate the traditional morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" to the younger generations.
