Daughter staged arrest and beating to blackmail father for 5 billion VND

On October 18, the Investigation Police Agency of Dong Thap Province prosecuted and temporarily detained Ngo Thi Bich Tram (31 years old, residing in Cao Lanh City), Tran Minh Trung (27 years old, residing in Nga Bay City, Hau Giang) and Nguyen Van Nha (32 years old, residing in Ca Mau) to investigate the act of "Extortion of property".

According to the initial investigation, Tram, Trung and Nha colluded to stage a case of her being in debt, being arrested and beaten to collect the debt, in order to mentally intimidate Mr. NVH (60 years old, Tram's father).

These subjects asked Mr. H. to pay Tram 5 billion VND in debt. In fact, Tram did not owe any debt; she, Trung and Nha set up the plot to take Mr. H's money.

Previously, with the above tricks, the subjects had appropriated 495 million VND from Mr. H. and then divided it up to spend.
