From the village school reaching out to the ocean

Nguyen Hoa Kim Thai is one of the 10 typical examples in various fields of Binh Duong province in 2019. Also in this year, she was the youngest delegate to participate in the Binh Duong Youth Journey to remember Uncle Ho's Will and follow in his footsteps , and was a delegate of the Binh Duong - Daejeon (Korea) Youth Cultural Exchange Program in 2019.

Last July, Thai was one of three representatives of the Vietnamese program to participate in the Posco scholarship program in Asia.

Here, the female student has the opportunity to live and work in groups with excellent students from many top universities in many countries, demonstrating the dynamic, creative, and friendly spirit of Vietnamese students to international friends.

"The most memorable memory for me was representing a group of students from China, Korea, and Kazakhstan to present an idea about a new story about plastic waste.

The group's project was highly appreciated and brought many interesting perspectives about our country. Personally, I was able to write a story from a village school girl reaching out to the ocean" - Thai shared.

Overcoming difficult family circumstances, Thai always strives to study and practice.

Up to now, after 6/6 semesters of study, she has always received scholarships for excellent academic achievements.

"Only education and knowledge can help me move towards a better life" - Thai said to himself.

Student life can never happen again!

Not only did he leave an impression with his good academic achievements, Thai also impressed with his long list of achievements in Youth Union and Association activities.

She shared that the fate that brought her to the activities of the Youth Union, Association, especially volunteer activities, began when she was a student. At that time, Thai was impressed with the green volunteer shirts installing electricity, building roads, and digging ditches in her hometown. She dreamed of one day participating in such "cool" activities.

For Thai, the Student Union environment "is a place to nurture doves full of dreams and ambitions", until the students are strong enough to soar in the vast sky.

Growing up from the title of 3 Good Students at the central level, Thai later had the confidence and courage to conquer the title of 5 Good Students and the title of Student Leader .

"Thanks to the Association's organization with the 5 Good Students movement and the Student Consulting and Support program, I have the opportunity to study and practice as well as strive to become a high-quality human resource for the labor market in the future," said Thai.

At school, Thai always receives many questions about how to balance extracurricular activities and studying?

She confided that there is no absolute balance, even if every day you spend 8 hours studying, 8 hours participating in extracurricular activities and the remaining 8 hours relaxing.

Therefore, Thai always tries to learn from the experiences of his seniors, from which he draws out "little tips" for himself to "learn while playing, play while learning".

She revealed that she often reads the lesson before coming to class to grasp the knowledge and expand on the issue while the teacher is lecturing, then applies the knowledge learned into practical activities to remember it longer.

On the contrary, when participating in activities to learn about the local cultural and social situation, Thai will also take notes of practical knowledge to include in the application section of the subject.

In addition, the student also makes a list of tasks to do and arranges them according to importance and deadline to do them more effectively.

Nguyen Hoa Kim Thai is currently a member of the Secretariat of the Binh Duong Provincial Student Association, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Student Liaison Committee; former member of the Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Student Association of the University of Economics and Law, Ho Chi Minh City National University.

In 2021 - 2022, received a certificate of merit from the Minister of Education and Training for achieving the title of Central-level Good Student .

Certificate of Merit from the Central Student Association for winning third prize in the 4th National Student Leadership Competition and certificate of merit for outstanding achievements in the Association's work and student movement in 2022.
