What's going on with Hoang Thuy and Pharmacist Tien?

The controversy between Hoang Thuy, Pharmacist Tien, Huong Giang and the Miss Universe Vietnam crew caused a stir in the entertainment world.

The scandal between Hoang Thuy and the producer and organizer of Miss Universe Vietnam (MUVN) has been the focus of media attention for the past week. The incident originated from Hoang Thuy and spread widely after consecutive accusations on social media. Up to now, the model has shown no signs of wanting to close the matter, even though the president of MUVN has apologized.

It is unclear whether Hoang Thuy achieved her ultimate goal after revealing the whole situation on social media. However, the act of posting anonymously, even "leaking" the content of the beauty's messages, also caused fierce controversy.

On the evening of July 11, before the launch of MUVN 2024, the model released the first part in the series of exposes. In it, the 2017 Miss Universe Vietnam runner-up said that she was oppressed by people in the entertainment industry, leading to her not being able to participate in an important position in a program. She called this character "the queen of morality"; "on the outside, she is smiling and talking, on the inside, she is sinister"...

Just 30 minutes after Hoang Thuy's post, Pharmacist Tien immediately called her name and clearly stated the reason for rejecting her as a judge for MUVN 2024. Even the producer of MUVN criticized Hoang Thuy for not being qualified. On the livestream that took place that evening, Huong Giang also implied that the model did not meet the criteria to be a judge for the competition.

After the move from Pharmacist Tien, Huong Giang, Hoang Thuy continued to release part 2 "counterattack". She revealed the entire process of talking and working with the MUVN crew and continued to mention the mysterious character.

Amidst the noise, Mr. Valentin Tran, president of MUVN, apologized to Hoang Thuy and asked her to stop making accusations on social media. Valentin Tran was the one who invited Hoang Thuy to sit on the judge's chair of the show, but the producer later disagreed, leading to the current controversy.

“This is a personal matter between me, DST, HG and a mysterious person. I really respect him and the MUVN brand. In this matter, I chose to put aside my own interests and not stay silent about the oppression to protect human rights. Win or lose, I hope that those who are being oppressed in any environment or circumstance have the courage to speak up about what they have experienced,” Hoang Thuy replied to Valentin Tran’s post.

After stringing together the whole incident, it can be seen that Hoang Thuy's ultimate goal is not simply Pharmacist Tien or Huong Giang, but is aimed at a hidden character who is said to be oppressing and affecting her career, forcing her to speak up. Based on the information released by Hoang Thuy, the online community began to discuss and search for the identity of the mysterious character she was referring to. Some of the names that the public suspected were in the jury of MUVN this year.

It can be seen that Hoang Thuy's "exposure" process was quite methodical and well-prepared. Before ending the accusation, she revealed part of the content in the next part of the series with a specific time to stimulate the public's curiosity. Notably, she did not directly mention the specific name of the character being named but posted anonymously.

This process of Hoang Thuy is similar to the method that Nam Em and many other artist “exposure” channels have used to expose a series of dark corners of Vietnamese showbiz, causing a storm for a long time. Hoang Thuy’s posts, therefore, can cause consequences and affect the honor of many other individuals.

It is not clear who is right and who is wrong in this story, but for now, Hoang Thuy's image is causing controversy no less than Pharmacist Tien's. Some opinions criticize the runner-up for her tricks and not being afraid of gossip.

In the 10 parts, she did not hesitate to mention the name of her colleague involved in the incident, causing controversy. In the same year, Hoang Thuy continued to post, accusing a designer of harming her, causing bad media for the event.
