Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh said that 50 years have passed since the heroic historical moment that the people of Da Nang will never forget, March 29, 1975. The image of the flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam proudly fluttering in the sky of the city - our homeland Da Nang is completely liberated.

That moment was a testament to the combined strength of the Party Committee and the people of the city, of the passionate patriotism, the spirit of great solidarity and the desire for peace of the people of the city in particular and the whole country in general. The milestone of March 29, 1975 was integrated into the great epic of spring 1975, the country was unified, the mountains and rivers were reunited, opening a new period of development for Da Nang and the whole country.

Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh delivered the opening speech.

“Over the past 50 years, from a small city heavily devastated by war, we have witnessed the dramatic changes of the city on the Han River, from urban development, infrastructure to economy, culture and social life. Da Nang has constantly grown, affirming its position as a smart, modern, dynamic and sustainably developing city,” the Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized.

At the same time, Da Nang is referred to by friends as the city of the Han River, the city of bridges, the city of fireworks or the city of "5 no's", "3 yes's", "4 safe"... Behind each name is a special story, the unceasing efforts of the Party Committee, the government, the people of the city, of those who have chosen Da Nang as a place to settle down, chosen Da Nang as their second homeland.

At the program, the audience seemed to go back in time to the heroic days of spring 1975.

“ Today, in the special art program "Bridges to the future", we will look back together at the glorious past of Da Nang since our ancestors opened the land, the heroic and tragic battles to defend the country and the reconstruction, construction and development of the city until today. In every page of history, every mark of the times, the flame of patriotism, the warmth of the people, the desire for peace, the desire to conquer new heights of knowledge and science, the desire to take the city to fly higher and further have never been extinguished in every citizen of the city", said the Chairman of the City People's Committee.

The performances are elaborately staged.

The art program includes 3 chapters (Historical Imprint; Cultural Bridge; Development Era Bridge) with the participation of famous singers: My Linh, Tung Duong, My Tam, Soobin Hoang Son... Along with that, the art program also has the participation of Miss International 2024 Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy.

This art program is also an opportunity to introduce and promote the land and people of Quang Nam - Da Nang, along with the propaganda and introduction of the city's socio-economic achievements over the past 50 years.
