Thanh Hang filed a complaint against Hoang Thuy

Thanh Hang said she had sent a petition to the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City, accusing runner-up Hoang Thuy of spreading false information that damaged her reputation.

In the petition sent to the authorities, the model said that from July 11 to July 16, the Facebook account "Hoang Thuy" with more than 311,000 followers owned by runner-up Hoang Thuy continuously posted articles related to being rejected as a judge for Miss Universe Vietnam 2024. In particular, on July 16, Hoang Thuy posted the content of the message (not verified) referring to Thanh Hang as: "Thanh Hang doesn't want..." (tentative translation: Thanh Hang doesn't want - PV).

According to Thanh Hang, these posts continuously used suggestive words, as well as directly mentioned her name as the person involved.

"All the articles and images that Hoang Thuy posted on social networks were calculated and intentional, regardless of the fact that these images and information were fabricated, intentionally edited and not authentic. The consequence was that many extremists attacked and used cyber violence against me," Thanh Hang's side said.

Thanh Hang filed a complaint against Hoang Thuy.

"Ms. Thuy intentionally posted a photo of a text message that specifically mentioned me: 'Thanh Hang doesn't want'. Thus, Ms. Thuy no longer hinted or hinted, but directly mentioned my name. Ms. Thuy led and directed public opinion to directly attack me, slandering me as the one who caused the incident that prevented her from being a judge on the program," the petition stated.

"Realizing the need to protect my legitimate rights and interests as well as protect my family, friends, brands, and related partners from the negative impacts of the incident, I, through my legal representative, have sent an official document to the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City and a number of other competent authorities requesting legal support to resolve and handle individuals and groups of subjects who provide and disseminate false information," Thanh Hang stated in the petition.

At the same time, Thanh Hang also requested the Miss Universe Vietnam organizing committee and the producer to coordinate to correct false information.

The model provided a document stating that the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications had received the complaint.

Before Thanh Hang's new move, Hoang Thuy's side has not yet spoken out.
