Phu Yen Hearing that 3,200 people would form the national flag and map of Vietnam at Bai Mon - Mui Dien complex on the morning of March 29, Quynh Anh and her husband planned to come take wedding photos.
The bride from Gia Lai told her husband-to-be that the flag-raising ceremony, the natural scenery at Mui Dien and the image of the national map formed by more than 3,200 people wearing red flags with yellow stars from a marathon, would bring beautiful pictures for the big day and show her patriotism.
On March 28, Quynh Anh and her husband Quoc Anh flew from Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Yen. To arrive at Mui Dien before sunrise, the couple, along with the photographer and makeup artist, moved to Vung Ro at 3:30. The group climbed another 30 minutes to reach the point where they could see the entire flag-raising ceremony.
When the sky was bright, the image of the big flag and the bright red map of Vietnam on Bai Mon surprised the whole crew. Photos of the bride and groom saluting the flag were quickly taken. At the moment the national anthem was played, they stood solemnly and sang the national anthem with pride.
"At first, I thought this was just a rehearsal and probably wouldn't be elaborate or grand, but because I like the Vietnamese flag, I decided to come and take pictures. However, the scene before my eyes was so overwhelming and sacred that I was moved to tears," Quynh Anh said.

Mr. Phan Gia Thuan, who took photos of Quynh Anh, said this was the first time he had photographed and watched such a grand flag-raising ceremony.
"The moment the Vietnamese flag was slowly raised next to the map of the Fatherland created by thousands of people was indescribable. Not only the bride and groom but I myself also felt happy to create a photo that showed both the couple's happiness and national pride," said Mr. Thuan.
The crew started shooting at 5:30 a.m., planning to last until noon. However, because it is the easternmost point of the country, the sun rose quickly and was quite sunny, so the shoot ended at 9:30 a.m.
According to the plan after the photo shoot, Quynh Anh and Quoc Anh will compete in the 21 km distance of Tien Phong Marathon, because they have been running for four years. However, taking photos in hot weather combined with waking up early to move around made their health not guaranteed. The couple was forced to cancel their schedule and make plans to participate in other races in the near future.

Quynh Anh and Quoc Anh both work in Ho Chi Minh City. The two met during a mountain climbing practice in early 2021. Due to their shared interest in outdoor activities such as mountain climbing, jogging, and archery, Quoc Anh took the initiative to pursue her and received her approval after a year.
"For us, running helps relieve stress, is a way to understand ourselves better, know our limits and our endurance," Quynh Anh said. She also said that she and her fiancé have participated in three or four short-distance races. For this race in Phu Yen, they registered for the 21km distance but have not been able to do it, despite having prepared their physical strength for nearly a year.

"I hope the couple will always hold hands to conquer new paths," Quynh Anh said.
