On the evening of November 27, in the sacred, emotional and proud atmosphere on the heroic land of Dien Bien, the delegation participating in the journey to the source "Dien Bien Phu - Epic of the Century" of the Ho Chi Minh City Propaganda Department organized a cultural program to express gratitude, exchange with artists who participated in the resistance war, and give gifts to families with policies and difficult circumstances in Dien Bien.

The program took place at 7-5 Square, a square on the street named after General, Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnam People's Army Vo Nguyen Giap. This is also the widest, longest and most beautiful street, passing through many historical sites of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign such as Him Lam hill, E1, D1, A1, and also passing through the Victory Monument, A1 Martyrs' Cemetery, Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum...
The song and dance performance "Proud of Dien Bien Victory" composed by musician Tran Xuan Tien dedicated to the trip back to the roots of artists from Ho Chi Minh City was performed loudly in Dien Bien.
Attending the event were leaders of Ho Chi Minh City: Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Nguyen Tho Truyen, Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, along with representatives of the Union of City Literature and Arts Associations, professional associations and the City Council of Literature and Arts Theory and Criticism, and more than 100 outstanding artists.
On the side of Dien Bien province, there were leaders: Mr. Mua A Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Le Thanh Do, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Mua A Vang, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province; Ms. Lo Thi Minh Phuong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, along with representatives of departments and branches... and representatives of 110 policy families and teachers with difficult circumstances in Dien Bien province.
Leaders, delegates and artists of Ho Chi Minh City interacted enthusiastically in a meaningful program in Dien Bien.
Especially, Meritorious Artist Phi Dieu and Meritorious Artist Le Thien will be the characters interacting in the program and telling stories of their youth participating in the resistance war, being able to enter the Presidential Palace to perform for diplomatic delegations and beloved Uncle Ho.
The artists performed musical pieces recording the glorious historical evidence of the five continents, which has gone down in history as a heroic epic about the iron determination of all for the independence, freedom and unification of the Fatherland; about the noble sacrifice of the heroic martyrs. The most touching were the scene songs: "Please rest assured, mother" and "Southern mother" by authors Luu Nhat Vu, Le Giang, People's Artist Vien Chau performed by: People's Artist Huu Quoc, Meritorious Artist Le Thien, Meritorious Artist Phi Dieu, Meritorious Artist Lam Tuyen, Meritorious Artist Trong Nghia, Meritorious Artist Le Tu, Artist Ha Nhu, Artist Kim Lien, Artist Nguyen Van Khoi; the song "The soldier's shirt that mother patched in the past" sung by Meritorious Artist The Vy.

On this occasion, artists from Ho Chi Minh City presented 110 gifts to families with meritorious services, teachers and students in difficult circumstances in Dien Bien province.
The total cost of the program is 110 million VND in cash and gifts worth 125 million VND.
