In recent times, the work of building Great Unity houses to help the poor and people in difficult circumstances has received attention from all levels, sectors and localities in the province. Thereby, thousands of Great Unity houses have been built, gradually changing the lives of many poor and disadvantaged people in the province. Building Great Unity houses is also a noble gesture, promoting the tradition of "mutual love" in the community. Supporting funding to build Great Unity houses for poor and near-poor households with housing difficulties to stabilize their lives soon and have the conditions to escape poverty is a practical and meaningful work, which has received attention from all levels, sectors and localities in the province, creating a widespread influence in the community. To effectively implement the construction of Great Unity houses, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front has developed a plan to implement the movement; guided the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations to mobilize people to participate in contributing to the construction of the Fund for the Poor. At the same time, issue a plan for the peak month "For the poor"; coordinate to review poor households and those in difficult circumstances in the province; mobilize and call on businesses and philanthropists to join hands to help and support the construction of Great Unity houses. From there, arouse the strength of the entire political system and receive enthusiastic support from all walks of life.

House construction is implemented to ensure "3 hard" according to general regulations. Specifically, the house frame is made of iron, galvanized steel or concrete. For ground-level houses, the foundation must be rolled, tiled, the walls must be built, the roof must be supported by iron, galvanized steel and the roof must be made of corrugated iron (or tiles). For stilt houses, they must be built on stone or concrete pillars, the roof must be made of corrugated iron (or tiles), other parts of the house, if using wood, must be of good quality and durable, such as: Dau, sao, thau lao, cam xe... The house has a minimum area of 32m2, the house has a hygienic toilet that meets the criteria of a new rural commune, and has independent electricity and water meters. The highlight in the implementation is that localities have promoted the spirit of "mutual love and support" of the community, built many charity house-building teams, contributed thousands of working days, mobilized money and additional goods for extremely difficult households.

Thanks to the support of philanthropists and the care and help of the local government, the dream of having a new house to celebrate Tet of her family and many other poor families in the district has come true. Mr. Bui Van Tam (Chau Phu district) emotionally shared: “This year, I am 51 years old, my family is in a particularly difficult situation, my child is sick, life is unstable, living as a hired worker, doing whatever is hired to earn money to live day by day, the house is rickety and dilapidated and I cannot afford to repair it. With the consideration of the local government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district supported me to build a Great Unity house. I sincerely thank you and am very happy because I have a house to protect me from the rain and sun and feel more secure when the weather is heavy rain and strong wind. With a stable house, my family will try to do business to escape poverty”.

Each life, each fate is different, many poor households have been reunited in new, spacious houses, filled with love. These houses not only realize the dreams of each poor household, the family of the meritorious, but also add optimism for them to strive and believe in a brighter future. Mr. Le Van Tam (Chau Phu district) confided: “I am very happy to receive the attention and financial support from the local authorities to build a new house. I am old, now I have to do whatever I can to make a living, but sometimes I have work, sometimes I don't, earning money is so difficult now. I have been saving for a long time but still do not have enough money to build a house. After Tet, I am really happy to have such a warm and solid house. I sincerely thank the sponsoring unit, the charity house building team, the Fatherland Front at all levels and the benefactors”. For poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances who are facing housing difficulties, when supported to build Great Solidarity houses, a new life is gradually appearing in Great Solidarity houses, adding strength and faith in a bright future, helping the poor to settle down, find work, and gradually escape poverty.

Each warm, spacious, and meaningful Great Solidarity House built is a joy not only for poor households, but also for those working on the front line. Because the houses for poor households are built from the kindness and solidarity of the community. This is also a great source of encouragement for families, helping poor households to settle down, have confidence, overcome difficulties, and strive to build a sustainable, prosperous life.
