Singer Ngoc Anh's husband's role in his wife's MV was cut

(NLDO)- Singer Ngoc Anh 3A introduces the song and MV "Bustling Spring Comes" after 20 years of preparation. She invited her whole family and nearly 100 actors to participate in this MV.

The MV recreates the bustling atmosphere of a village, as well as the joy of family reunions of children working far from home during the New Year. Images of communal houses, flower markets, etc., familiar to many Northern countrysides, are brought into the MV, close and warm.

Ngoc Anh said she wrote the first verse of "Rôn rung xuân đến" 20 years ago and recently completed the second verse. If the first verse is a thank you for the love she has had in her life, including romantic love, the second verse expresses the singer's gratitude to her roots and ancestors.

For Ngoc Anh, during her years in a foreign land, she always remembered her homeland. The love and care of her family and relatives for each other was her spiritual support. That was also what made her think of making a MV to show her gratitude to her homeland.

Another important reason is that the female singer noticed that her father, People's Artist Hoang Van Khiem, was starting to get worse and his memory was declining. Fearing that his father would become weaker and weaker and would not be able to participate in her MV, Ngoc Anh asked her younger brother, singer Anh Khang, to do something to make the family and relatives happy this Tet holiday.

In the MV, singer Anh Khang takes on the rap part based on the female singer's idea while her father, People's Artist Hoang Van Khiem, performs the parallel sentences he wrote himself. He also takes on a role recreating the image of national heroes as if watching over the footsteps of his descendants in the MV.

The production also features nearly 100 actors and staff from the Vietnam Tuong Theater, where Ngoc Anh's father and his uncle and aunt, People's Artist Minh Gai and Hoang Long, have devoted much effort, hoping to preserve the art of Tuong for the future.

"The MV may not be technically perfect, but I'm happy and pleased to have sent my love to my family and my homeland..." – singer Ngoc Anh revealed.

She also added that on the day the MV was filmed, the entire village of Trang An, the singer's paternal hometown, was as happy as if it was a festival. Many people told her that it was an unforgettable memory in her life.

Ngoc Anh was born in 1975, a former member of the famous 3A group in Hanoi in the 1990s. After the group disbanded, she sang solo and achieved much success with the songs of musician Phu Quang. With a series of songs by the musician such as: "Autumn Song", "Autumn Hides You", "Silent Night of Hanoi" ... , during his lifetime, musician Phu Quang once said Ngoc Anh was one of the people who sang his songs the best.

In 2008, Ngoc Anh moved to the US with her ex-husband, musician Tran Hung, and her son Ben Tran. The singer's son was featured in the US magazine VoyageLA with an inspirational story about music. Ben Tran is currently studying at the Musicians Institute College of Music.

Despite her successful career, Ngoc Anh has experienced a broken marriage. In 2018, she remarried businessman John Gallander, who loved her singing. Present at his wife's MV launch in Hanoi, John Gallander said he was also excited to participate in the MV and discovered that his role had been "cut" when the MV was released.

"I listened to my wife's song thousands of times before it was officially released and had a lot of emotions," he said.
