Choose a unique 'shirt design' for bus routes connecting to metro line 1 in Ho Chi Minh City

Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên13/06/2024

According to the Public Transport Management Center (GTCC Center), identifying buses by image is a solution to help people recognize the nature of the route through factors such as: color, route number, route name, logo, motifs, and characteristic images.

Therefore, the Public Transport Center has developed a bus identification plan connecting stations of metro line 1 with colors that harmoniously represent the combination of typical colors such as the public passenger transport system by bus (blue), metro line 1 (blue and white), the main color of Thu Duc City (yellow), and green to represent the direction towards green, environmentally friendly vehicles.

In addition, the route number and route name are shown by LED lights. The logo shows the logo of the Public Transport Center combined with the logo of the Ho Chi Minh City urban route. The typical motif and image used is the image of sunflower - the symbol of Thu Duc City.

Based on this general idea, GTCC Center proposes 5 design options:

- Option 1

The characteristic colors of the bus (blue) and green follow the principle of angular transition, gradually changing from dark to light, helping to identify the bus realistically, gently and attractively to the viewer.

The route number and name are shown by LED lights on the front and rear of the vehicle. The characteristic logo of the urban railway line is stylized in white on both sides of the vehicle, helping passengers easily recognize the nature of the route as connecting stations on the urban railway line.

- Option 2

The typical colors of the bus (blue) and yellow are typical of Thu Duc City according to the principle of yellow on the top of the windshield and blue on the bottom of the windshield.

- Option 3

In this option, the typical colors used are the color of urban railway train No. 1 (white) and green with blue accents (typical of city buses) to create a harmonious and balanced highlight.

- Option 4

Blue and yellow are combined according to the principle of angular transition. The exterior color of the vehicle is stylized into wavy lines with the harmony of blue and yellow, helping to identify the bus authentically.

The route number and route name are LED lights on the front and back of the vehicle. The logo of the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center and the logo of the Thu Duc City People's Committee are stylized in the pistil of a sunflower.

- Option 5

In option 5, the main color is blue in the front of the bus and yellow in the back of the bus. The two sides of the bus will be the typical yellow color of Thu Duc City and additional blue will be arranged along the length of the bus to create more highlights.

Currently, the HCM City Department of Transport is interested in option number 1. The Department also requests the Department of Culture and Sports, the People's Committee of Thu Duc City, and the HCM City Fine Arts Association to give their opinions on the above identification options and send them to the Department before June 15.
