Russia is developing rapidly in all directions in the north of Avdiivka

According to the Readovka channel, the Russian breakthrough to the northwest that has emerged from Avdiivka continues to "bloom under the blazing sun". The Ukrainian defenses at Novokalinovo have completely collapsed and the enemy is retreating to neighboring Arkhangelskoye, leaving some soldiers in the neighboring village of Keramik as a covering force.

However, the Ukrainian soldiers fleeing to Arkhangelskoye will not find a quiet, convenient place to heal their wounds, because the village is attacked from the southwest, from Ocheretino, and if Keramik is defeated, Moscow forces will attack from the southeast. Therefore, in a critical situation, Kiev forces constantly counterattack, trying to save the situation, but objectively speaking, they have less and less resources for this.

Meanwhile, far from the still limited pursuit to Arkhangelskoye, also from Ocheretino, another Russian thrust is being deployed along the railway tracks to the west and northwest, towards Novoaleksandrovka. This “sprout” is still vague, but promises a high probability of growing through the defenses of Kiev’s Toretsk group from the south, as usual, breaking it.

Rybar channel reported that in the direction of Avdiivka, the Mosocw forces have made significant advances west of Ocheretine, taking control of the territory of the Altkom brick factory. In the northeastern suburbs, battles are taking place in residential areas. At the same time, the clearing of Ukrainian positions in the western suburb of Solovyovo is being completed.

According to Rybar channel, in the direction of Donetsk, Russia is advancing towards Krasnogorivka from several directions. In the center, their forces have consolidated their positions at the intersection of Heolohichna and Tsentralna streets, and in the east, the assault groups have advanced more than 1km and captured a major enemy fortified area.

In Krasnogorivka, Moscow forces rushed into the city after an attack from the east, on the verge of cutting off enemy supply routes, the Military Summary channel reported.

Notably, after being upgraded and mass-produced, many Russian "turtle" tanks took off, breaking straight into the city under heavy enemy fire. It seems that the new design has helped these strange tanks deal more effectively with Ukrainian suicide UAVs, significantly improving their survivability.

War developments in other directions

According to Rybar, in the Bakhmut direction, battles for positions are taking place in the eastern suburb of Chasov Yar. In the south, clashes are taking place in the Krasne area, as well as on the T-05-04 highway leading to Kostyantynivka. Intense Russian fire strikes continue in the Kanal district to soften the battlefield for infantry assaults.

Over the past day, Moscow forces have carried out several strikes on enemy targets, including the Myrhorod airport in the Poltava region. In Odessa, a large building of the Odessa Law Academy was partially burned down due to a missile strike.

In the Kupyansk-Svatove direction, fighting continues in the vicinity of Kyslivka, with half of the village firmly under Russian control. At the same time, Ukraine has begun to gradually withdraw its forces from neighboring Kotliarivka, fearing encirclement. Russia is attacking other villages towards Kupyansk to stretch Ukrainian troops along the front line.

The front towards Kherson was also quite active again, Kiev forces landed and occupied an "island" on the Dnieper River.

In the Zaporizhia region, Russia launched an active offensive in the direction of Orekhov. Their assault teams advanced 500 meters into Rabotino and captured a new Ukrainian position north of the village. Moscow soldiers raised the flag of the Russian Federation, asserting their confidence in controlling a significant part of Rabotino.

Ukrainian General Staff: Russia focuses on attacking Bakhmut and Avdiivka

Ukrainska Pravda reported that the Ukrainian General Staff's report on the evening of April 29 said that over the past day, defense forces repelled 27 attacks in the direction of Bakhmut and 18 other attacks in Avdiivka.

"In the past 24 hours, 93 clashes were recorded. In total, the enemy launched four missiles, carried out 35 air strikes and 56 attacks from multiple rocket launchers," the report said.

The Ukrainian General Staff confirmed that their forces had basically repelled Russian attacks in Kupyansk, Liman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Novopavlovsk, Orekhov and Kherson.

During the day, Self-Defense Forces aircraft carried out airstrikes on five enemy troop concentrations. Missile units hit one Russian troop concentration, the report said.

Explosion in Crimea, Kerch bridge temporarily closed

Astra channel reported that early this morning, Tuesday, April 30, local residents said they heard many explosions in Crimea, specifically Simferopol, Gvardeysky and Dzhankoy.

The Crimea Bridge (also known as the Kerch Bridge) was closed for about an hour, according to the Russian-appointed regional government.

Ukraine and US hold third talks on security agreement

European Pravda reported that representatives of Ukraine and the United States held a third round of talks on April 29 to "prepare for the signing of a bilateral security agreement."

The Office of the President of Ukraine said that during the negotiations, the parties "fundamentally discussed" the content of the draft agreement and adjusted the algorithm for further actions.

Chief of the Presidential Administration Andriy Ermak, who led the Ukrainian delegation, expressed hope that after the US Congress approves additional funding for Ukraine, the process of signing the agreement will be accelerated.

Talks between Kiev and Washington on a security deal were last reported in January.

Ukraine has now signed bilateral security agreements with nine countries, the latest of which is Latvia. An agreement is also expected to be signed with Norway.

The vast majority of Ukrainians believe that signing bilateral security agreements will help Kiev confront Russia.

Germany delivers IRIS-T missiles and 10 Marder vehicles to Ukraine

The German government reported on April 29 about the next batch of military aid to Ukraine, which specifically includes additional air defense equipment, artillery shells and armored vehicles, European Pravda reported.

Recently, Germany transferred to Ukraine 10 Marder infantry fighting vehicles along with ammunition and spare parts, ammunition for Leopard 2 tanks and 7,500 155mm artillery shells.

Kiev forces also received from Germany the SKYNEX air defense missile system with ammunition, nearly 30,000 rounds of ammunition for the Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft gun, an unspecified number of missiles for the IRIS-T SLM air defense system and a 4D air surveillance TRML radar.

The list also includes the delivery of Beaver bridging tanks and spare parts, DACHS armored engineering vehicles, nine mine-clearing machines, AMPS helicopter self-protection systems, 600 LED lights and six tractors to transport M1070 tanks.

Germany also transferred to Ukraine 18,000 40mm caliber ammunition, 3,000 RGW 90 hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, 120mm mortar shells, nearly 2,000 camouflage nets, 2,000 raincoats and 100,000 first-aid kits.

On April 10, Germany announced that it had delivered, in particular, a tracked command vehicle - Warthog all-terrain vehicle and 6,000 155mm artillery shells.

Berlin also promised to transfer Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine as quickly as possible.

White House has no comment on arms shipments to Ukraine

The delivery of defense aid to Ukraine, announced last week, continues, but the US administration will not comment on the timing and amount of the delivery due to security concerns, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said, Ukrinform reported.

According to her, support for Ukraine continues: "They get this security support."

At the same time, when asked about the current state of arms transfers in general, the White House representative noted that she wanted to be "cautious" on this issue because it was related to security issues. She also expressed confidence that the necessary support would be quickly transferred directly to Ukrainian soldiers.

Attack on Odessa leaves 4 dead, 29 injured

At least four people were killed and 29 injured in a Russian missile attack on Odessa, damaging civilian infrastructure, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said on April 29, Kyiv Independent reported.

Odessa Governor Oleh Kiper said three women and one man were among the dead. Two children were among the injured, according to local authorities.

The Regional Emergency Services Agency and the National Police assisted 63 people at the scene of the attack.

Media reports said one of the injured was Serhiy Kivalov, a former MP and head of the Central Election Commission, who lived in the mansion that caught fire in the attack. The mansion is known locally as "Kivalov Castle" or "Harry Potter Castle".
