Bao Ninh Sung Phuc Pagoda was built in 1107 under the reign of King Ly Nhan Tong, located in Bao Ninh village, Yen Nguyen commune (Chiem Hoa). The pagoda was built by a hereditary family, presided over by Ha Hung Tong, the 15th descendant holding the position of Chau Muc of Vi Long district. This is the oldest pagoda in Tuyen Quang, where a precious stele from the Ly dynasty is still preserved. Through the ups and downs of a thousand years of history, Bao Ninh Sung Phuc Pagoda has been restored and embellished many times, but the ancient pagoda foundation still remains along with the remaining precious antiques, becoming important documents for researchers and learners. In 2013, the Ly dynasty stele was recognized as a National Treasure. In December 2023, Bao Ninh Sung Phuc Pagoda was ranked as a National Monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
