(CLO) There are only about 6,000 train tickets left from Ho Chi Minh City to tourist cities like Nha Trang and Phan Thiet. The long routes are almost sold out.
The Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said that as of January 15 (December 16, the year of the Dragon), the railway industry had sold more than 300,000 train tickets.

Currently, there are only about 6,000 tickets left from Ho Chi Minh City to the provinces before Tet.
Specifically, from January 20-26 (ie December 21-27), there are mainly short-distance tickets left to Phan Thiet and Nha Trang. Train tickets for longer distances are sold out.
In addition, there are about 3,000 tickets from January 15-19 (ie December 16-20) from Saigon station to all stations, mostly seats. Of which, there are about 1,000 tickets left from Saigon to Vinh.
Previously, on the evening of January 14, on the online ticket booking portal of the Railway Joint Stock Company, the number of tickets from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi on January 20 had reached 100% occupancy rate on all trains, except for trains TN4 and TN6, which had only one seat left. Starting from January 21-27 (the time when everyone left Ho Chi Minh City), passengers could not buy tickets because the compartments were sold out.
For those who are from the capital and have not yet purchased tickets to return home early, there is still a chance to buy tickets on January 28, but they will miss the New Year's Eve moment with their families because the train arrives at Hanoi station on January 30 (the second day of Tet).
According to the Railway Transport Joint Stock Company, during the days before Tet, the number of people traveling on the road is very high.
To avoid unfortunate train delays due to traffic jams, the railway industry recommends that passengers arrange to be at the station 30 minutes to 1 hour before the train departs. When the station announces the opening, passengers should enter the station and board the correct train, carriage number, and seat number to avoid missing the train.
Train passengers must bring compact luggage, each ticket must not exceed 20kg and must take care of their luggage themselves, and must not bring prohibited items according to regulations.
The railway industry also organizes the control of boarding passes, identification documents and documents to verify the discount subjects at the station entrance and train car doors.
