In the sacred atmosphere of heaven and earth, on the morning of April 3 (the 6th day of the 3rd lunar month), at the temple of the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan and the temple of Mother Au Co in the Hung Kings Temple Historical Relic Site, the Party Committee, government and people of Phu Tho province, on behalf of compatriots and soldiers nationwide and overseas Vietnamese, held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the death anniversary of the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan and the Mother Au Co.
At the Temple of the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan, in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the leaders of Phu Tho province offered incense, flowers, and offerings, expressing gratitude and commemorating the National Ancestor's contributions in establishing the country and laying the foundation for the Vietnamese nation; praying for the country's prosperity, national peace and people's peace, eternal happiness for all families; and favorable weather.
Lac Hong's descendants vow to continue the Dragon Fairy tradition, constantly train, unite to overcome all difficulties and challenges to build a peaceful , unified, prosperous and developed country.
On the same morning, the delegation of Phu Tho province and a large number of people respectfully offered incense, flowers, and gifts to express gratitude and commemorate the merits of Mother Au Co at Oc Son mountain (belonging to the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site).
Before the spirit of the Ancestor - the legendary Mother who gave birth to the origin of the Vietnamese community, the delegates vowed to continue the Dragon Fairy tradition, constantly study and practice, unite to overcome all difficulties and challenges; wholeheartedly protect the integrity of the country, brocade and build Vietnam to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.
The locality continues to do a good job of preserving, maintaining and promoting the cultural heritage values of the ancestral land; protecting and embellishing ancestral shrines for Lac Hong descendants to worship forever.
According to legend, the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan married the fairy Au Co and gave birth to a sac of one hundred eggs, which later hatched into one hundred children.
Expanding the territory and building a prosperous nation, Lac Long Quan took 50 of his sons to the sea; Au Co and 49 of his sons went up the mountain to reclaim land, the eldest son stayed behind to become King, took the title Hung Vuong, named the country Van Lang, and established the capital in Phong Chau (now Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province)./.
