No need to go to Moc Chau, right in the border area of Binh Lieu of Quang Ninh, visitors can also find white, pristine, and breathtakingly beautiful plum gardens .

Binh Lieu has a cool climate, the temperature here is usually 2-3 degrees Celsius lower than Ha Long City. The weather and soil of Binh Lieu are suitable for plum trees to grow, so after only 4 years from seedlings, Mr. Hoang Tien Hanh's garden in Pac Lieng area, Binh Lieu town has produced fruit.

Plum blossom season, for those who are passionate about traveling and exploring, Mr. Hanh's garden is like a hidden fairy garden, bringing wonderful emotions that everyone wants to visit and save beautiful photos.

Tourists check in at the plum garden in Hoanh Mo commune, Binh Lieu district.

The dreamy, white plum gardens are also the reason why tourist groups travel hundreds of kilometers to Binh Lieu: "I am really impressed with the beauty of this land. In addition to the fresh, cool air, the flowers are also the attraction for tourists to Binh Lieu" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Van Anh, a tourist from Ha Long City, shared.

The small, pure white plum blossoms grow in clusters. When in bloom, the whole tree is covered in white like snowflakes on mossy branches and leaves, creating a pure, gentle and clear beauty. Since 2019, many Binh Lieu people have come to the plum garden in Pac Lieng area to take photos. The photos of graceful Tay girls in indigo dresses and brilliant Dao girls in traditional red dresses standing out among the plum blossom forest have gradually become an invitation for tourists to come to Binh Lieu.

It is known that the district currently has 5 gardens that can welcome visitors in Binh Lieu town, Huc Dong, Hoanh Mo and Dong Van communes. Mr. Hoang Van Phuc, the owner of a plum garden in Huc Dong commune, said: Every year when the plum blossom season comes, there are visitors coming to visit the garden and take pictures. My family plans to plant more plums and many other types of trees such as peach and sim so that tourists can visit all year round.

Plum blossoms bloom around February, depending on the weather each year, however, this flower also fades quickly, only lasting for about one to two weeks. To help locals and tourists come to Binh Lieu in time for the flower season, many garden owners have proactively updated the plum blossom blooming schedule on their personal Facebook pages and the district's tourism information page.

As soon as he started his homestay business, Mr. Hoang Van San, the owner of a homestay in Hoanh Mo commune, started growing plums on his family’s land. This year, his family’s more than 100 plum trees have become the busiest tourist attraction in Binh Lieu.

The homestay owner has made decorative models for the plum garden, advertised on Facebook and contacted members of the Binh Lieu Photography Club, organizing a free photo shoot program so that visitors can check in at the plum garden. Mr. San said: “I want to introduce to visitors another beauty of Binh Lieu. Besides, this is also a way to promote, introduce and invite visitors to Binh Lieu in the spring. In the future, I plan to encourage people around to plant more plum trees to create a larger area.”

Like peach trees, plum trees in Binh Lieu are newly planted spontaneously by local people on a small scale. If given more attention, this type of tree promises not only to open up a new direction for local economic development but also to add a unique tourism product, increasing the attraction of Binh Lieu tourism, giving visitors more reasons to return many times.

According to Mr. Vi Ngoc Nhat, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Binh Lieu district, in the future, the department will coordinate with specialized departments and businesses to support people in renovating existing plum gardens and expanding the planting area in areas with beautiful landscapes. Along with that, the district will have a communication and promotion strategy to attract visitors to the gardens.

In summer there are sim flowers, in autumn there are ripe rice and reeds, in winter there are so flowers and now when coming to Binh Lieu in spring, visitors will be immersed in the romantic, lyrical space of plum flowers... Step by step, Binh Lieu is gradually becoming an attractive 4-season destination, a 4-season flower destination where visitors can explore and find its own beauty at any time of the year.
