On the morning of March 28, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team - District 7 Police (HCMC) coordinated with relevant units to handle the scene and clarify the container truck fire on Phu My Bridge.
At around 6:30 a.m. the same day, the male driver was driving a container truck on Vo Chi Cong Street, from Thu Duc City to District 7.

When the container truck reached Phu My Bridge (District 7), the driver noticed that the engine was acting abnormally, with smoke coming out. The driver quickly pulled the truck to the left lane and got out of the cabin.
The front of the container truck then burst into flames. At the scene, a column of black smoke rose more than ten meters high, the heat prevented vehicles from passing through. The incident caused traffic congestion in the area.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team - District 7 Police dispatched many vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to quickly extinguish the fire. The car fire did not cause any casualties but completely burned the front of the container truck.
The cause of the container truck fire on Phu My bridge is still being investigated by authorities.
