Earlier on the morning of October 23, through patrolling and understanding the local situation, La Gi Town Police recorded information that a group of subjects residing in Dong Nai province were preparing to go to Ba Dang area, Tan Hai commune (La Gi town) to fight with some local subjects.

Immediately afterwards, the police mobilized 100% of officers and soldiers to patrol and control the routes in and out of the area, especially in the Ba Dang area.

At around 8:30 p.m. the same day, La Gi Town Police coordinated with Ham Tan District Police to discover a suspicious passenger car with license plate 60B-057.xx traveling from Ham Tan District to La Gi Town, so they asked to stop the vehicle for inspection.
