Indonesia surprisingly stopped at the AFF Cup 2024 right from the group stage after a 0-1 defeat to the Philippines. After the match, coach Shin Tae Yong said harshly that if Indonesia sent its strongest team to participate in this tournament, they would definitely win the championship.

Similarly, the Putra account wrote: "AFF Cup is a prestigious and prestigious tournament in Southeast Asia. Why do we send teams like it's a student tournament? The Vietnamese and Thai teams are still serious about the AFF Cup even though they have won it several times. Indonesia has never won the AFF Cup but sees the tournament as no different from a game. For me, the AFF Cup is always an important tournament and brings emotions to fans."

Another account named Mas Azzam Bae said: "Unbelievable. Winning the AFF Cup is a way for us to prove our strength in Southeast Asian football. I am really disappointed with the way PSSI and coach Shin Tae Yong look down on this tournament."

Account Jaliel LanSkar commented: "I don't know where Indonesia is playing, but in the Southeast Asian arena, we were eliminated early. I think PSSI needs to seriously evaluate after this tournament."

Sondang Purba wrote: "I lost faith in Indonesian native players. Only players returning from Europe can make a difference."

In fact, even famous names of Indonesian football such as Rafael Struick, Marselino Ferdinan, Pratama Arhan or Muhammad Ferrari could not show themselves in this tournament. The only mark of Indonesia was still Pratama Arhan's throw-in situations.

PSSI confirmed that it will seriously evaluate coach Shin Tae Yong as well as the Indonesian team in the next few days.
