On December 12, the Executive Committee of the Association of War Veterans of Quang Ninh province held a conference to review the Association's work in 2024 and outline tasks for 2025. Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of War Veterans attended the conference.
In 2024, despite facing challenges, the Association of War Veterans at all levels in Quang Ninh province promoted the strength of its cadres and members to "overcome difficulties" and perform the Association's work well, comprehensively completing the political tasks of the Association and the locality.
The cadres and members of the War Veterans Association of Quang Ninh province are steadfast in their political stance, actively participating in building and protecting the Party, the government, the people and the socialist regime. At the same time, they coordinate well in implementing activities to educate the younger generation about patriotism and revolutionary heroism.
The War Veterans Association at all levels in Quang Ninh province has always actively participated in the socio-economic development programs of the Central and local governments. The emulation movement "Exemplary Veterans" aims to reduce poverty and improve the lives of members. Up to now, the Association has no poor members, the number of near-poor war veteran households is 101 (accounting for 0.19%)... Many typical collectives and individuals of war veteran have promoted the traditional nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", the spirit of self-reliance, self-reliance, overcoming difficulties to develop the economy, and getting rich right on their homeland. In particular, the provincial War Veterans Business Association is the core in production and business, actively supporting capital to help members invest in expanding production, creating more jobs,... In addition, Quang Ninh province's war veteran enterprises have also implemented policies well and made many positive contributions to ensuring social security.

At the Conference, delegates shared practical lessons in implementing the Association's work from the grassroots level. At the same time, they frankly pointed out difficulties and proposed solutions to effectively carry out the tasks in 2025. The Quang Ninh Provincial Association of War Veterans also launched and signed a covenant to compete in the exemplary War Veterans movement in 2025.
Speaking at the Conference, Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results that the Veterans Association at all levels in Quang Ninh province achieved in 2024, continuing to affirm itself as a reliable support for Party committees, authorities and people at all levels.
Specifically, the Association of War Veterans of Quang Ninh province has successfully completed the assigned tasks, becoming one of the leading units nationwide. In particular, the coordination model between the Association of War Veterans of Quang Ninh province and the Association of War Veterans Enterprises of Quang Ninh province is recognized as a typical model among 63 provinces and cities nationwide. Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong requested the Association of War Veterans at all levels of Quang Ninh province to promote the results and achievements, successfully completing the goals and tasks set for 2025.
On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association awarded Emulation Flags to 4 collectives and Certificates of Merit to 7 collectives and individuals; the Quang Ninh Provincial Veterans Association awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 collectives and individuals for their outstanding achievements in the exemplary Veterans emulation movement in 2024.
