TPO - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Duc An welcomed a group of 500 international tourists on the Silver Dawn cruise ship to Quang Ninh on the first day of the new year of At Ty 2025.

On the morning of January 29 (the first day of Tet), the Silver Dawn cruise ship sounded its horn loudly on the waters of Ha Long Bay, signaling that it was the first international cruise ship to arrive in Quang Ninh on the first day of the new year of At Ty 2025.

The ship carrying nearly 500 international tourists from European and American countries docked at Ha Long International Passenger Port. As soon as they set foot on the port, the tourists were welcomed with a special traditional ceremony.

Mr. Pham Duc An - Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee - together with leaders of the Department of Tourism; Ha Long City; Ha Long Bay Management Board came to wish a happy new year, give flowers and lucky money to international guests.

He sent his best wishes for a happy and lucky new year to all visitors and wished them an impressive, interesting and enjoyable trip to Ha Long City.

Many tourists came to Ha Long, Quang Ninh for the first time and were impressed by the warm welcome.

Swiss woman Serela said she was very excited to travel to Ha Long, Quang Ninh in the first days of the new year.

"As soon as I stepped into the port, I was impressed by the dragon and lion dance, a lucky symbol of East Asian culture. I was very happy to be the first tourists and to be directly wished good luck by the local provincial chairman. It was so exciting!" - Serela said.

Responding to Tien Phong reporter, Ms. Nguyen Huyen Anh - Director of Quang Ninh Department of Tourism - said that international visitors "first entering" Quang Ninh tourism at Ha Long International Passenger Port is a good sign on the first day of the new year At Ty. In 2025, Quang Ninh tourism is expected to reach 20 million visitors, including 4.5 million international visitors, with tourism revenue of about 55,000 billion VND.

2025 is also a promising year for cruise tourism when Ha Long International Passenger Port announced that there were about 70 international cruise ships from many countries such as England, France, Germany, China... carrying nearly 90,000 passengers arriving at Ha Long International Passenger Port in 2025.

According to schedule, the Silver Dawn cruise ship will stay at Ha Long International Passenger Port overnight on January 29 and continue its journey on January 30.
