According to this tourist, traveling in the spring at the beginning of the year has become a tradition for Ms. Phuong’s family, because only during Tet can they have more time to gather together after a year of hard work. Talking about tourism activities at the beginning of the year, some travel agencies shared that domestic routes including: Da Nang, Hoi An, Phu Quoc, Da Lat, Sa Pa ... continue to be on the list of most favorite destinations thanks to the majestic natural scenery, favorable weather and traditional cultural activities during the Lunar New Year. In addition, the Western river region with unique experiences such as visiting floating markets, spring festivals and unique culinary culture also recorded significant attention from customers. A representative of Vietravel tourism company informed that this year, the unit continued to welcome and serve more than 150,000 tourists during the At Ty Tet season. This is an admirable number, marking the success in meeting the diverse travel needs of customers. Mr. Pham Anh Vu - Deputy General Director of Viet Tourism Media Joint Stock Company said that the Tet holiday has started with very positive numbers during the At Ty Tet season. The unit served more than 10,000 passengers who registered for tours and routes during the recent Tet holiday. Of which, the company has achieved over 90% of the Tet tour plan, with nearly 200 tour routes serving customers.
According to representatives of travel agencies, compared to the same period last year, the Tet tourism market this year has grown quite impressively in both revenue and number of visitors. At travel agencies, the number of visitors booking Tet tours has increased by about 30 - 40% during this year's Tet season. In addition, the travel trends of Vietnamese people at the beginning of the year have had remarkable changes, reflecting the increasing demand of tourists. In particular, high-end tourism products attract a lot of attention from tourists such as: 5-star resort tours with spa services, private swimming pools, separate from urban areas, helping visitors relax and enjoy the peaceful space in Con Dao, Nha Trang, Hoa Binh.

According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, international visitors to Ho Chi Minh City during the Lunar New Year 2025 are estimated at about 87,358, an increase of 16.5% over the same period in 2024. Visitors to tourist areas, attractions, entertainment and service venues... are estimated at about 2,100,000, an increase of 16.7% over the same period in 2024. Guests staying at accommodation establishments are estimated at about 150,000, an increase of 11% over the same period in 2024. Room occupancy is estimated at about 65%, an increase of 44.4% over the same period in 2024. Revenue is estimated at about 7,690 billion VND, an increase of 17.4% over the same period in 2024 (2024 is 6,550 billion VND).
To attract a large number of tourists, right from the beginning of the Tet season, travel agencies have implemented a series of attractive policies. Mr. Pham Anh Vu said that this year, to attract domestic tourists, the company has cooperated to build the "Central Heritage Tet" tour in Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An, Quang Binh. Connecting traditional craft villages in the northern provinces such as Bat Trang pottery village, Dong Ho painting village, Van Phuc silk weaving village... Directly building cultural tourism products of Gong, recreating the culture of the Central Highlands in coordination with local communities in Da Lat, Buon Ma Thuot... Some travel businesses confirmed that preparations for serving tourists have been implemented very early, right from the last months of 2024. Accordingly, businesses have launched many new tourism products with competitive prices and many preferential policies such as: gifts, 4G sim, vouchers..., discounts for customers paying by credit card, early registration or group registration... For accommodation units, many traditional and rich Tet activities are held to bring guests joyful experiences during Tet such as: opening New Year's Eve parties, watching fireworks at restaurants. At the same time, discounts of 20-30% are applied to some services such as bars, spas, 25% discount on airport shuttle fees, 20-25% discount on room rates. In addition, the hotel also prepares and builds a new, rich and attractive culinary menu and some special programs to serve Tet with the criteria: joyful and safe through the New Year party organization programs. For shopping establishments, standard restaurants also organize many activities to celebrate the New Year such as decorating the inside and outside areas; organizing many traditional Tet festival activities...
